I’m not sure what I just watched, but anything with Bob is A+
*petition to get this on the internet without the crowd laughing*
I agree completely. It's a work of art disrupted by the cloying laughter.
YAAAAAAAS1
total spoofer whoever decided on a LT.
Just remove all sound, and redub it with the Satie. Don't bother with dubbing in ANY words. They're superfluous.
olafputker couldn’t agree more
The fact that Bob showed up at all is blowing my mind. The mystery man never appears any place like this, but he does so in perfect Dylan fashion. What a guy...
He just made an ad for his booze here tbh
It's good whiskey tbh, and the bottle makes for a great collectors piece
ALINA H hip to be square
No one currently on the planet is more legendary than Bob Dylan
Why do you think bob dylan is so legendary? I would like to know about your thoughts on him. ( I'm not being arrogant. Just wanted to know what makes him so legendary)
@@mallukittens177personally, I believe it’s his contribution to the music industry that makes him so legendary, the man has written some of the greatest lyrics of all time and has influenced so many people, and probably influenced your favourite artist, even if he didn’t directly influence them, he definitely influenced one of your fav artists fav artist, not only the music part, he has been desecrated to his craft for so long, he has been going around the world constantly touring for decades, that’s what I think makes him legendary, his status as a lyrical genius, his influence and his dedication to his craft
@@bigbadkitten1201 lyrics are ok but his songs like which is sung I didn't like it at all. Maybe he should have just written poems. What's your thoughts on that ? You liked his songs he sung ?
@@mallukittens177 personally yea, but Bob was never known as a singer or musician, it was just a way for him to express himself better, he didn’t have the best voice or the greatest guitar skills, but it’s his lyrics and the meaning behind them that make them memorable, if you know what I mean
@@bigbadkitten1201 yeah I get it. But do u think youngsters are still liking his songs ?
The song playing is "Gymnopedie No.1" by French composer Erik Satie (1866-1925)
Thank you!
Saint Martins thank you so much
This is the comment I was looking for, thanks!
Thanks, that’s been driving me crazy.
I actually feel very honored to have recognized the song immediately😍
I saw Bob walking his dogs in Malibu once. He was walking the whole time with his head down and looking really deep in thought just like here. He's very in his own world like this.. it's not just an act
Skinny Furby yes my dad works for him! And bob never says anything he is quite unsocial
Skinny Furby You’re a class act. You admired him and walked away. You’re very lucky
@@hutchu1 thanks :) you see a lot of famous people in LA and I've heard some stories that a lot don't like being approached (and some even rude to everyone like cashiers and servers) so I'm very shy about it now and keep my distance. I don't want to be told off my someone I'm a fan of, lol.
@@madcuh what an awesome job, working for a legend! And yep, that's exactly the vibe I got lol. He's totally in his own world.

OMG it's actually Bob Dylan. I couldn't even believe it. The man didn't came to get his own Nobel prize but he said yes to this ?
He had a private ceremony I think
@@neelparekh3448 He had, before his Stockholm concert in April 2017.
Well, he was promoting his own brand of whiskey.
he is a poet. This was poetic.
He couldn't advertise his Whiskey at the Nobel Prize ceremony. haha
Well, the message I got was "drink this Whiskey and imaginary Bob Dylan will come to hang out with you". So, I am in.
When jimmy is mostly silent...he is quite enjoyable.
Yep. No Jimmy is the best Jimmy, IMO.
Agreed.... the guy is so phony for his show. Goofy.
This is just perfection. So confusing, I have no idea when to laugh even with the crowd laughter, Bob never says a word. Its also obviously an ad. I don’t know - well done. This was incredible.
Perfect description... cheers!
The crowd laughter made it kinda cheap
I think they were laughing at jimmy"s face 😂
Why would you not laugh only when you encounter something funny?
Pastor Landon You're easily pleased, love. May I recommend the new film 'Watching Paint Dry' starring Terry the tortoise. Better take a few vallium first in case you get over-excited.
Gentle, charming, a bit daft and surreal. Perfect, and something I haven't seen from Fallon until now.
@Matthew Lawton It's not entirely to my taste, but Carson wasn't to the previous generation's taste, and he's managed to keep himself significantly more relevant to the cultural zeitgeist than Leno (admittedly not the most challenging of hurdles to overcome). He's good for what he is, he manages to entertain a cross-section of America, and he doesn't draw significant controversy, which is what NBC has always gone for in a late-night host. There are more culturally awful things for me to worry about than Jimmy Fallon.
Just walks out, pours a drink, sits down to drink it.....and I’m simply mesmerized by it. He blows my mind. His every move is just enchanting.....and jimmy is great too :)
Never a dull moment with Bob Dylan he's a national treasure
Might like to drink whiskey, might like to drink milk
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody
JImmy?
It may be the devil or it may be the lord.. seeeerve someBODY ..
My daddy he made whiskey, my granddaddy he did too. We ain't paid no whiskey tax since 1792.
I reckon he prefers whiskey
Earnest Prole might like to eat caviar
this is the type commercial that i need
well then. lucky you
Bob Dylan is the coolest person ever lived, I wish I was like him.
that you recognize his level of coolness makes you pretty cool yourself
Yes he is a terminally chill enigma
Did you hear Dave Grohl’s story about him and everlong?
I would LOVE to watch the circus and drink whiskey with Bob Dylan!!
that...would be awkward
Bob probably laid it right on the line. "Fallon, I ain't doing you're punk ass show EVER!! But, give me a chance to promote my whiskey/Bourbon and I will consider doing a little comedy skit with you and as long as I don't have to talk or sing!" There you go kids, that's probably how it happened. lol

Gracias
why did this make me want to cry?
1. Because Bob Dylan is very private, and NEVER does talk shows or things like this
2. The greatest songwriter/poet of the past 100+ years, who has shaped and influenced music/culture in more ways than you could ever hope to measure.
Trust me, he's earned a few shed tears and respect.
This show desperately needs more stuff like this beautiful fever dream.
I saw Bob in concert in Albuquerque this year! The fact that he said nothing in this clip doesn't surprise me at all, seeing as he never said a word to the audience at the concert either! But I wasn't even bothered by it, the show was AMAZING and Bob seemed to be having such a good time! Much love for this living legend! Also, Jimmy is very lucky Bob came on his show, as Bob rarely does that for ANYONE! Awesome!
Hell yeah, that's rad: Albuquerque/New Mexico is the shiz 😎 Lived there many years and the whole environment made me want to write Bob Dylan-esque songs and/or made me feel like I was already IN one of his songs...epic place🏜🏞
Oh my god, I actually LOVED this. Bob is looking wonderful, which is so incredible to see. This skit was perfectly well done.
"I'll let you be in my dream, if I can be in your dream".

@@nestanesta9366 I said that! 😉
You'd better go see a doctor, to see what kind of words he could say
I just had a dream about him last night! That's so weird.
We are so fortunate to live in an era of a genius like Dylan. My god. Had tears in my eyes. He greatly shaped my life from the time I was twelve, a kid trying to leave Mississippi. Love you, Bob Dylan.
hope you didn't stay a day too long
this is art
He was chillin like Bob Dylan
When Dylan finally dies, I imagine watching this with a wee whisky and sobbing.
Me too😕
They're selling postcards of the hanging, they're painting the passports brown
The beauty parlor is filled with sailors...
That's pretty much the case. When Letterman had Dylan on, he said Dylan would only show up if he didn't have to speak to HIM. He then proceeded to start his set with Sonny boy Williamson's don't start me talking.
The circus is in town
I just love seeing Bob Dylan. He’s so signature to himself, from his mannerisms to the way he brings curiosity to the room
I don't drink whiskey, but if Bob Dylan poured me a glass of whiskey, you're goddamn right I'm drinking it
He probably charged Fallon for it.

"Gonna buy me a barrel of whiskey/I'll die before I turn senile." -Bob Dylan, Cry A While
Thank you Bob!~
This is just so perfect & you didn't even have to say a word !
"I know I've seen that face before," Big Jimmy Fallon was thinking to himself
The quietest Jimmy has ever been- all it took was Bob Dylan.
Why do I want to see Dylan in this sketch more than the circus act? Eliminate the laughing and it’s perfect.
People laugh at a circus you idiot !
Because he's larger than life, I don't blame you
Even though it was supposed to be funny. I found this rather beautiful and heartwarming.
This made me cry so much i love him
For those who didn't understand...
His whiskey can be a great company to you. But when the show ends, you're by yourself.
Master of irony
I mean it's kinda clearly just an add for the whisky. He's trying to sell his product. But this was done in such a unique, classy, and surprisingly deep way that I don't care one bit that it's an ad. I love it.

Ahh, now this is art, Bob Dylan style
Erik Satie piano one of my faves

I "woo hoo"ed louder than the audience when Bob appeared.
Bob Dylan is the GOAT
GOAT stands for "greatest of all time"
Imagine being at a cinema or something and bob dylan comes out if nowhere with two glasses and a bottle of whiskey
Perfect. Always the recluse that he is, of course he’s not there, jimmy you lucky bastard.
“I’m not there.”
I just love Bob Dylan. Wow. When my friends were listening to Backstreet Boys, I bought my first tape (yes, tape!) of Bob Dylan. As a Catholic, his music really spoke to me. I appreciate him so very much. Talk about God given talent - wow. He's such a cool looking man too!
Jimmy, You know you reached the top when you get to watch a circus with Bob Dylan
The lady at the end looked a bit like Annie Lennox.
Yes, she did.

I literally just came here to hear Bob Dylan's voice but he doesn't say a single thing. This was actually weirdly good to watch
When you call Bob Dylan “buddy”
This is f***n’ weird and I love it
i love this man.
jimmy: selfconscious cheeselord bob: effortlessly beating his own drum
not a fallon fan, but he's good in this
"self-conscious cheeselord" is the best thing I've read today, thank you
Ain't it just like the night to play tricks when you're trying to be so quiet.
Love both their sense of humor. Killed it!
“You don't necessarily have to write to be a poet. Some people work in gas stations and they're poets. I don't call myself a poet, because I don't like the word. I'm a TRAPEZE ARTIST”
― Bob Dylan
Just a side note to this great clip. I just turned 70 and Dylan is almost 80. I noticed immediately how fast he walked to his seat. Not many others would pick that up but tells me he's really taking good care of himself and damn glad he is still a major Icon.
That was so cool, Dylan used to say that among his favorites poets was a family of acrobats of the circus in his town
*His 👀’s were so intense* 😆👍🏽
Fallon really does gain perspective by sitting next to Dylan Literally.
It's hard to tell - but that's really Dylan's stunt-double. Great job Alfonso. :)
One of the most mythical, unlikely celebrities to do a talk show appearance I can think of…. I would expect at least 10 million views.
This song has a such a meditative effect
Somehow, this is exactly what I was hoping it would be. And it was great.
And the Good Samaritan, he's dressing, he's getting ready for the show...

*Bob Dylan is alive but he sorta just seems like a ghost from the past that reveals itself once in a while to remind us that that energy never dies*
Now we can add liquor salesman to the list of Bob Dylan's accomplishments.

Series of Dreams
A great free advertisement for Dylan's 'Heaven's Door' whiskey, highlighted during the circus performance and on Jimmy's desk afterwards - priceless👍😊😘!
Just drinkin to a series of dreams. In one the circus was open...
I hope Bob doesn't mind, but I rescued a Caucasian Shepherd dog, he had been neglected and was struggling to settle when I got him home. I put on Bob's Highway 61, and it instantly calmed my dog down. He sat there listening to the whole album, cocking his head this way and that. By the end of the album, he was lying down calm. So I have named him Dylan. I still play Bob's songs and Tom Petty''s if he becomes stressed and they calm him. So, it's a compliment and I hope he isn't offended. Plus I want to try that bourbon by Bob. But I don't think it's sold in the UK. And importing liquids is banned I think, due to terrorism. But hopefully it will get over here.
I never watched a RUclips video over to minutes. But for Bob Dylan I did 😍
Looks a lot like a dream,a great dream indeed
