Happy Thanksgiving! I associate going to the movie theater with Thanksgiving, growing up we would go to my Granny and Pappy's for dinner, than afterwards most of the family would go see a movie. It was the greatest.
I just wanna say the glasses the kids got during dinner, the old jelly jars. My Mamaw still has a bunch of those and we used to always use them growing up.

i know if i had that village with lights - i would have it connected to an arduino or esp board so that it could look more "lived in" with different houses turning on and off, some lights flickering like its "damaged" etc.

We didn't have a Thanksgiving this year because my son was in the hospital. The cafeteria had a yummy Thanksgiving meal though. Drink and dessert included. So I guess I did have something good to eat.

My Dad was an old folk music fan from even his teenage years, so was quite familiar with the music of Woody Guthrie, Arlo Guthrie's Dad, so from my very earliest, Alice's Restaurant was a household Thanksgiving tradition throughout my childhood & I really don't have a favorite Thanksgiving movie, but Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving, (and really The Macy's Parade), are always personal highlights of the day foe me.

Home for the Holidays is my favorite Thanksgiving movie. That might be a little warped and Robert Downey Jr was not in the best shape at that time but I do enjoy that movie.

Worst thing about holiday meals...why do they take so much longer to prepare than regular meals? Well, that, and people in your family that can't hold a drink...although, as a person who's never drank...sometimes drunk uncle fighting drunk dad over who gets the wish bone can be entertaining....I mean 40 something year olds fighting over a bone....a bone. My dad won by the way...I guess, I mean my dad did smash the turkey carcass over my uncle's head, but my dad did get the wish bone. It was hilarious, but also a harsh reality that I really need a new family. That was 20 years ago, last holiday I spent with my so called family. I've never seen anyone smash a turkey carcass over anyone's head again....lol.
