Thank you for having me in your list! I still do not have internet (using my phone), so I will watch the whole video later. But I wanted to say THANKS already! :-)
Thanks for including me on this list, Levi! And also thanks a lot for the kind words! :) I think your channel is really awesome for learning German as well! What I really like about all these channels is that there isn't too much competition going on when it comes to the essential content. Everyone learning German on RUclips can watch all these channels next to each other, because everyone has their own specific ways to express, explain and deliver topics. That's what I appreciate and like about our 'teaching community' on RUclips. :) All the best from Germany! :)
That is one of the great things about education on RUclips. It is never about competition. It is about teaching as many people as possible. I share other people's videos all of the time, because I know they/you are all doing such awesome stuff on RUclips. I just thought it was time to put it into a video.
Learn German with Herr Antrim Hi Levi! I saw yozr german teaching video about medical topic. When you showed sentences thatmaybe the doctor said, there was a word, hustensaft. The Hustensaft was a syirup against coughing in Hungary in the 80s and 90s. Hustensaft just means syrup against coughing in english and köhögés elleni szirup in hungarian.
Learn German with Herr Antrim Hallo ich würde gerne diesen RUclips Kanal von Ihnen kaufen wenn sie den verkaufen würden schreiben Sie mir bittte zurück
Thanks for this list, Levi. You're a big part of the subtle networking that there is in our little circle and that alone does a great service to learners imho! :) Also thanks again for your kind words x)
When I am back in Germany in June of 2018, we will have to see if we can get us all together in the same place. That would be an awesome party and my students would love to meet some of the people that they see so often in class.
@@MrLAntrim Did the meeting take place? I have always thought if I won the lottery I would get all you together. I know its a small network but when you are studying and you are listening to them(intently) I often wonder if they know each other? And a little more of their backstory(In German of course!) Thanks for the video!
I did meet up with a few of them in 2018. Katja on one day and Michael (smarterGerman), Peter (LanguageSheep), and Anja on another. Plus I met up with Dana and her husband (Wanted Adventure) for dinner one night. I would have done it again this year, but my trip got cancelled. I take students to Germany every 2 years, so I will definitely see some of them again. My flight would have left tomorrow...
@@MrLAntrim sorry you did not get to go back to Germany this year. I'm sure your class and you really enjoy it. Thank you for answering me back that was very nice. Great video, very cool to see how it turned out in the end 😃 Thanks so much for thinking of me for it!! And also for introducing me to a few new RUclips channels I didn't know about before. Looking forward to checking them out as well 😊 🌸
Well done. Picked up a couple I was unaware of and already subscribe to most of them. But do not sell yourself short; your videos are excellent. I often begin with you and then refer to your site when looking for clarification and understanding. Vielen Dank for all you do on behalf of us learning German.
Thank you for this great list. I already knew most of them, but not all and it's a great compilation. I thought you did an amazing job with the links you posted on the comments. I did miss "Deutsch mit Marija", I love her approach in making mostly 100% German speaking videos, which unfortunately many on the list don't do, at least not in a regular basis. Rewboss and Jenny are the best in my opinion, among those you listed. Thank you again for the great material you provide.
I know this is an older video but still very resourceful. I'd like to add ,German for busy Professionals' with Manuel has helped me a lot. Thanks again.
I love Slow German, but her RUclips channel is essentially an extension of her website. If you are going to use Slow German to its full potential, you should definitely use her website. I did a review of that in 2015. The site itself has changed quite a bit since then, but the content is still fantastic. bit.ly/2w3Vkyv
I use Authentic German Learning and Easy German quite a lot 😊 Anyway, you all German teachers/vloggers should come together and create something big, a big company, a big project, that could be beneficial to you and your learners alike. Each one of you has something peculiar and unique. Never thought about it?
Easy German is amazing! They’ve really helped me expand my listening comprehension, as well as reinforce and expand my vocabulary. They’re all also fairly easy to understand. Cari and Manuel (on the podcasts) do speak fast at times, but they have a very clear accent, as well are very well spoken. But their videos of people on the street are also important, since not everyone speaks German or any language clearly. I find myself using subtitles in those cases, but it’s still nice to see
Thanks for your video help me alot because i been looking for a video to give me an idea where to find German learning channels because most channels i go on hasn't help so hopfully the vudeos you suggested will help me learn my great grandparents language.
Wanted adventurer and Trixie have done a couple videos together too. Thanks for this video. I'm new to learning German. I have a decent amount of vocab learned thanks to memrise, very similar to duolingo, but apps do nothing to teach how to actually speak. I'm using a class off of wondriun to learn, but regardless it's all self taught and self guided ... So every resource is helpful. Thanks much!

Somewhere on dw.de there is a fantastic vocabulary or a link to it. I once saw a French-language Wortschatz, giving about 2000 French words, with English translatiobns and model sentences. A German on-line equivalen t would be a great help to beginners.
If there is something like that, I'm sure it is somewhere in this section of their site. There are a ton of resources there. I haven't had enough time to run through them all, but there might be a version of what you are talking about there. www.dw.com/en/learn-german/s-2469 If you are looking for something to teach you your first words in a language, you should check out Babadum. babadum.com/ I did a review of that here. bit.ly/2v9BByM
Thanks Antrim for helping me build my team. Many of these I’ve already subscribed to, but there were some new ones for me. You need to get together with the guy from Radical Living youtube, you guys could make a funny video on learning German words or some topic like that. I know people who want to learn German because of that guy. I tell them they need Antrim, Ania, or Jenny for the nuts and bolts.
Just checked out Radical Living. He has some amazing videos. I love his style. Thanks for the tip. Maybe I'll reach out and see if we can work together sometime.
Thank you for posting such a great list. I don't know if I will have time to watch them all but in addition to your channel (German with Herr Antrim) I also subscribe to German with Jenny, Deutsch Für Euch and one missing from your list; GermanPod101 on RUclips that includes a website (www.germanpod101.com), a Podcast and a Twitter feed @germanpod101. I think this one is great.
Deutsch mit Marija ist also fantastic. I didn't list these in an order of best to worst. It is just supposed to be a helpful list. Thanks for the suggestion of adding Marija. If I do another one of these videos, she will definitely be on the list.

I am of the opinion that learning a language must also include learning about the people and culture. For the American perspective on the German people, Dana's channel is great. That is the reason she isn't on my list of best channels to learn German, but one of the bonus channels at the end of the video along with Rewboss, who is also fantastic, but not great for language acquisition.
I don't get the appeal of German with Jenny. You cannot learn a whole language phrase by phrase unless you're a baby - neither can you by context for that matter. She's very sparing with grammatical details. Also, a bit commercial, a bit like germanpod101. German with Anja on the other hand is so much fun. Deutsch fur Euch is a proper linguist, she is brilliant.
