- France are World Cup champions 2018 after an exhilarating 4-2 victory over Croatia. Didier Deschamps's side proved too much to handle for Croatia as they produced a stunning display. Fans took to the streets to celebrate outside the Eiffel Tower and Champs-Élysées, whilst French president Emmanuel Macron celebrated with the team inside the dressing room.

this was everywhere in France
there were big screens that were bought just for the occasion (even in smaller town like I said) so that everybody could watch it together (and that from the quarter of finals to the finals)
even my 90-year-old great grand mother, who probably knows nothing about football, watched the games from her apartment and had flags on her balcony and watched as everyone was partying in the street below her
this was an actual nation celebration, that's what I mean, not just those who cared about football
