I have seen countless review videos but none have driven at such high speed. Kudos and thank you for the review. I have a question, please answer it genuinely: After driving 100’s of kms, did you ever feel fatigue or pain in your back. How was the drive comfort in terms of your back in long drives ? And what was your confidence level and car feedback at such high rpm’s in terms of body rollover.

I got a short test drive.. will get a longer one after Oct 3.. I could go to 120 and 130 and I didn't feel it much different from other cars.. The rumblers did unsettle it out more than lower monocoque carss
@@sourikray1997 I don't do these top speed runs on four wheelers. There is no point. I had originally started with the usual cruising speed rpm video as you can see in the starting. I took it to its top speed because I got the opportunity. Else nahi karta, but thankfully I did, and could test the outstanding stability, among other things 😃❤️

@@Daadhibaaz I know! Have mentioned it in the other video that one should have both hands on the steering wheel. Here, I had to hold the powerbank that I had connected to the GoPro. Got the vehicle for a short duration. I was on my way back to pick up the Mahindra driver from the metro station to handover the vehicle to him. And had to complete the testing as well. Had no choice. And you may trust me to have more control with one hand than the CAT A noobs with four. 😁

I am intrested in the AX5L variant. Mostly as I dont like the 19 inch RIMs, panaromic sunroof and the no bottle holders. What do you think, will it peform similar or better with the 18 inch wheels ?

But i think the speed limit is electronically limited or something cause at 170 the engine was at 3000 rpm which means it could go much more fast as well if the thar roxx was built for it and if mahindra didnt limit the speed of the car
@@ShashiSrivastava-x2w No. It's not electronically limited. 😃 It's a diesel. The torque peaks at 3,000 rpm, and even the hp peaks at 3,500 rpm. That totally justifies the top speed. 😃

Think about it, what would happen if everyone starts owning a BMW / Audi / Benz, these cars would no longer be a "WOW" car, well, then it would be like, it's just a car. Remember, the 3 door Thar also goes by the name Chapri car, and you know why. I'm eagerly waiting to know what would they name Thar ROXX as. Like you said, that Gurkha runs as taxi in your hometown, well do know that cars like BMW / Audi / Benz / Gurkha are also used for taxi purpose, the only matter is they would cost you, your lifetime earnings to hire them, that's all. So, you can never hire these cars, just get an autorickshaw.

And I don't generally go above 100-120 (max!) in a four wheeler on public roads. You can watch even my old videos on Real Auto Reviews for the same. Here as well, I had intended to make my regular cruising speed rpm video ?only I make this particular video) and I pressed the loud pedal only when I got the opportunity. @@KBR-117 the proof is in the pudding, right? No one has been able to take the Roxx up to these speeds and they talk about aerodynamics 🤦 You can't hear any abnormal noise in this video, right? So, yes, the NVH Levels and stability, BOTH are sorted. The overall ride quality when compared to the N is just half a notch below. That's it. It's NEVER uncomfortable. And I reckon it to be on a par with the N with 18 inch wheels. 😃
@@JungleeKids unfortunately I haven't tested the Scorpio N as yet. However, I have tested the XUV700. See, a body on frame vehicle will NEVER be as good as a unibody/monocoque on the Road. Conversely, the body on frame would ALWAYS be better off the road. 😃
I had put the notification/warning sound at it's lowest (three levels). But, yes, if I remem correctly it's not a continuous beep 😃 And even if it was, it wasn't bothersome.

I wouldn't recommend any mods in the first year of any new vehicle. Keep the vehicle bone stock for a year. Learn its pluses and minuses so that when you go for mods you can see and feel the difference clearly. 😃
Hi , as you and your team drove both 4*2 and 4*4 diesel automatic versions, is there any difference you feel in punch of both engines as they have separate set of tune i.e power and torque figures,150 vs 170 or 330nm vs 370nm, because on paper it seems a lot of difference, what is your real life experience? There everyone got to sample both petrol and diesel. 2) I got the vehicle last week just for two and half days. 3) There's no team right now. Glide over ? 😂 It's a thar dude , it'll definately glides over potholes but that'll feel like youre on a roller coaster going side by side and up and down.😅😅. Trust me this is coming from a thar owner. Thar is never built for a comfort issue which people tend to get fooled by the companies trying to give luxurious features but you can never talk about comfort in this car and ROXX is no exception, comfort is zero but offcourse a robust off roader.

Its waste of time.. 1. not a real off-road not a family car 2. Only 5 seats with hardly any knee and shoulder room 3. Min 15.x lak on road 4. M&M will take 80/90k bookings money and full year will sale only top models.. first 5. all garibo ka Wrangler wale will have to wait till Oct-Dec 25 for delivery 6. Fuel economy is very bad as front shape not modified 😕.. M&M knows how to fool around customers 😂

Also, you won't take a turn at 120. You would switch lanes. Watch the video again and you will see that I switched lanes at much higher speeds...

Remember, the 3 door Thar also goes by the name Chapri car, and you know why. I'm eagerly waiting to know what would they name Thar ROXX as. Like you said, that Gurkha runs as taxi in your hometown, well do know that cars like BMW / Audi / Benz / Gurkha are also used for taxi purpose, the only matter is they would cost you, your lifetime earnings to hire them, that's all. And I don't generally go above 100-120 (max!) in a four wheeler on public roads. You can watch even my old videos on Real Auto Reviews for the same. Here as well, I had intended to make my regular cruising speed rpm video ?only I make this particular video) and I pressed the loud pedal only when I got the opportunity. Otherwise I just don't do it 😃

@@KBR-117 the proof is in the pudding, right? No one has been able to take the Roxx up to these speeds and they talk about aerodynamics 🤦 You can't hear any abnormal noise in this video, right? So, yes, the NVH Levels and stability, BOTH are sorted. The overall ride quality when compared to the N is just half a notch below. That's it. It's NEVER uncomfortable. And I reckon it to be on a par with the N with 18 inch wheels. 😃

@@JungleeKids unfortunately I haven't tested the Scorpio N as yet. However, I have tested the XUV700. See, a body on frame vehicle will NEVER be as good as a unibody/monocoque on the Road. Conversely, the body on frame would ALWAYS be better off the road. 😃

Does this come with continues beep sound after 120? Bcz i didnt hear any beeps very irritating for long journey.
I had put the notification/warning sound at it's lowest (three levels). But, yes, if I remem correctly it's not a continuous beep 😃 And even if it was, it wasn't bothersome.

I wouldn't recommend any mods in the first year of any new vehicle. Keep the vehicle bone stock for a year. Learn its pluses and minuses so that when you go for mods you can see and feel the difference clearly. 😃

Hi , as you and your team drove both 4*2 and 4*4 diesel automatic versions, is there any difference you feel in punch of both engines as they have separate set of tune i.e power and torque figures,150 vs 170 or 330nm vs 370nm, because on paper it seems a lot of difference, what is your real life experience? Also please mention the version you drove in this test

1) I wasn't invited to the first drive in Kochi. There everyone got to sample both petrol and diesel.
2) I got the vehicle last week just for two and half days.
3) There's no team right now. It's just me who's testing, shooting, editing, uploading, and also writing the text reviews for our newspaper, The Daily Guardian (Auto page comes every Thursday).
4) I will get the petrol, and also the diesel 4WD, sometime next month.
5) This one was Diesel AT 2WD

Glide over ? 😂 It's a thar dude , it'll definately glides over potholes but that'll feel like youre on a roller coaster going side by side and up and down.😅😅. Trust me this is coming from a thar owner. Thar is never built for a comfort issue which people tend to get fooled by the companies trying to give luxurious features but you can never talk about comfort in this car and ROXX is no exception, comfort is zero but offcourse a robust off roader.

@@Tomatzoma I test drove this vehicle couple of days back. It indeed soaks bumps and potholes very well, I didn’t like drive over them aggressively but it smoothly went over them. I liked the suspension.
Its waste of time.. 1. not a real off-road not a family car 2. Only 5 seats with hardly any knee and shoulder room 3. Min 15.x lak on road 4. M&M will take 80/90k bookings money and full year will sale only top models.. first 5. all garibo ka Wrangler wale will have to wait till Oct-Dec 25 for delivery 6. Fuel economy is very bad as front shape not modified 😕.. M&M knows how to fool around customers 😂

Also, you won't take a turn at 120. You would switch lanes. Watch the video again and you will see that I switched lanes at much higher speeds...
