- In this new video I'm going to change the look of this guitar that I built some time ago, first I'm going to remove the fretboard and install a stunning flame maple one, and then I'm going to strip of the old finish and show you how apply a new one, with some stunning stains, lacquer and oil (a complete refinish). All of this in my ASMR style.

The headstock reads NH-1. If it was the first build attempt it was a very good debut. To bad you didn't show the guitar that much in its initial state; I do like the olive wood fretboard idea. Perhaps the the flame maple one is a better fit to the body. Nice colors.

Nice guitar! Even better after the makeover! Can I ask what was wrong with the neck and truss rod? was it curving concave or convex? was it due to the moisture of the wood?
The problem was with the olive wood fretboard, it was forcing de neck upwards, creating and upbow, maybe because it wasn't dry enough. With the new fretboard the problem was corrected
@@NoeHervas oh i see. i guess it's a one way truss rod... so even with the truss rod fully relaxed, the board is still bowed.

once I removed the fretboard, with the truss rod loose the neck went straight as an arrow and made some truss rod test and it worked perfectly fine
@@NoeHervas I thought so, but because watching so many truss-rods, rust, and being number 1, I thought why not, take advantage of removing the fretboard, thank you for your kind answer, cheers.

I loved this video! One question, when you sprayed the poly, did you spray the fretboard too? Couldn't tell if you had the fretboard taped off or not

Excelente trabajo, tengo una strat de Squier que necesita los mismos tuners, me podrás decir dónde los puedo conseguir, los he buscado y no los encuentro, son difíciles de encontrar (al menos por línea)

Muy buen trabajo, despegar el diapasón es algo que me pondría de los nervios. El color nuevo es más bonito a mi gusto. Tengo un par de preguntillas, si no te importa. 1 ¿Qué tipo de pegamento has usado para el binding del diapasón? 2 ¿Cómo es que al aplicar el acabado de poliuretano no has cubierto el diapasón? ¿Se lo has aplicado también? 3 ¿Cómo supiste diferenciar que el problema venía del diapasón y no del mástil?

2 Al diapasón también le he aplicado poliuretano al igual que a la pala, pero no sale en el video.
3 No lo sabia hasta que lo quité, el plan era quitarlo fuera lo que fuera, y si el problema era del masti, encolaría el nuevo diapason forzandolo a que creara este una pequeña curvatura hacia atras y dejarlo asi 3 o 4 dias a que secara bien y a partir de ahi trabajar a ver, pero como finalmente fue del diapason fue mas facil

It's Great but fretboard finish? Maple without finish looks dirty after one month. Oil, dye, super glue, epoxy? What's your thought about unfinished maple.
I've applied 4 coats of polyurethane on the fretboard. 6 or 8 coats of tru oil leaves also a lovely finish

Me llama la atención el problema que mencionas sobre el diapasón de Pau Ferro, ¿por que es que puede llegar a tender a encorvar el mastil? ¿es algo común de esa especie o solo fue mala suerte?
El diapasón es de olivo, lo que es de pao ferro es el mástil, posiblemente se creó el problema porque el diapasón no estaba bien seco

Rubio monocoat, es aceite? Me estoy haciendo un kit Les Paul con la tapa beteada. No quiero usar barnices, estoy pensando en usar un tinte al aceite y despues gomalaca brillante. Como lo ves?

La configuracion de pastillas y puente se parece mucho ala de synyster gates de a7x en lo personal mi favorita con ecepcion de la pastilla central pero eso ya es un plus real mente le quedo mejor ese color
