Really informative video, dude, thank you for it. Would you maybe consider making a video in which you would show exactly how you go from A to B to Z în terms of crafting a weapon for said build? I fail to understand what exactly are the steps into crafting your weapon. Or any other item. Exemplifying this would be amazing for a newbie. Thank you!

a video explaining critical strike in depth would be awesome, how to see individual skill's crit chance, how to see which multiplier applies to each skill, that sort of thing
That's all information you can easily Google, stop being lazy
There's no way you can check an individual skill's crit chance. You have to math it out yourself. All skills have a 5% base. Then add any +x%, then multiply the new base by any increased %s.

Good video yea I've been doing that when unsure I go to the dummy and switch out weapons etc relics etc armor and see if I do more dmg while keeping good defensively stats up RES capped etc good video love it I didn't know about the +base dmg is better then % I always thought %. Was better so learned something new thanks bro good job ❤❤❤
Communities of other ARPGS like Diablo 2, Path of Exile etc refer to "Base " as "Flat
Now tell us, how to properly scale each aliment, what adds dmg, and what "should" add but doesn't, e.g. if i apply bleed stacks using my manifest armor, does my phys dmg improve it? only my minions, both?
would % DOT and % ElementalDOT affix's at the same values add the same damage to your maelstorm?
Yes. Normal DotDMG would apply to non-elemental effects like poison, while EleDotDMG applies only to fire/cold/lightning. The same is true of +ElementalDMG. I tested with two items of the same value, one being +FireDMG and the other being +FireDotDMG (+13%) and noticed that the ignite damage of my character stayed the same. So if you plan on doing damage via dots rather than direct damage then you can just focus purely on the dot modifiers as well as % chance to inflict the effect.

The game used to be way better for where the dummies were placed. They were in the main town area of the corrupted era, and in the End of Time. Sadly they changed it when they introduced multiplayer, and also stopped you from using skills in towns. I hope they bring the old ways back for single player.

I'm new to game so a new sub. If I did a build that had Spriggon form, added in skills from that tree, then transformed into the Werebear from Spriggon tree. Would the Spriggon buffs carry over to the Werebear form and vies-a-versa, Werebear to Spriggon? I hope that made sense, I love how you break it down to Noob level, keep up the good work.
Unless I'm misunderstanding, the training dummy is showing you damage per swing, not damage per second, so the comparison of raw numbers only works if you're swinging at the same rate. The staff you switch to is Slow (.92). I don't see the speed for the two one handed weapons, but I'm relatively confident that they're not that slow, so they're swinging more often. Wouldn't you need to multiply the numbers you're seeing by the speed to get the actual DPS? (I'm assuming that for Speed, 1 = one swing per second - .92 swings per second, 1.08 = 1.08 swings per second, etc. If the Speed numbers mean something else, then obviously multiplying damage by Speed wouldn't give you DPS.)
You are exactly correct. I'm not familiar with the skill he's using tho. If it's hit or damage per second. If it's DPS, then the values are shown each second.

i got a question. how does critical work into minions. is it worth considering crit for minions? how do you scale it if you can?
question. When something scales with lightning and spell damage is there one thats better than the other DPS wise? or is it all equal?
Was looking more for a forumla if one is known. Do all the increased damages go into the same column? IE spell damage, and cold/fire. Base + INcreased X more (with crit somewhere at the end)

it depends right? like if the base is big enough a % increase would be bigger than a base one?

Hey man, really great resource for someone who doesnt play many arpgs. I do have one question though, and i apologize if this was answered already and i didnt see it. How does the math work for multiple sources of "increased damage"? Say i have a Wraith, who does Minion Necrotic Melee damage. Do all three relevant sources of increased damage add together? Is the highest value chosen? Any insight would be great
I find it really difficult to scale fire warpath damage , tool tip is only showing about 20k DPS, I have mainly focused on fire damage affixes , what can I do to increase that ?
I'm confused about shadow damage, is a shadow considered a minion ? and where can i find shadow damage stats the character sheet doesn't even mention shadow damage that i can see.
Everytime you watch this guy, you have to chnage the speed to 1.25 or 1.5 to make it seem normal
Probably a really stupid question, and yes, there are stupid questions, but, if I am a Necro, and only using minions, does the base melee dmg of a wep matter? Or is my focus on Spell dmg & Minion dmg? And I guess Fire dmg as I am running your Fire Necro build. TYVM for these videos, man. They are a huge help to someone like me who is a bit on the slow side due to legit brain damage.

Just look at the tool tip damage on the skill of your hover over it on the skill bar. Done
on necro, youre playing as frost mages/golem or all on fire?

noob here, i dont get how you can have an affix of +177% spell crit. Anything over 100% will be guaranteed crit?
I believe its multiplicative and not additive meaning if your spell crit sits at 30% and you have 177% item, it would give you an extra 53% crit bringing you up to 83% actual crit. I think thats how it works

Don't know how you got a 33% increase in damage at the end there. It was a 50% increase.
There is something STUPID important that I just found out watching this video. And it has nothing to do with the topic. You can buy MORE STASH TABS. Holy crap is that huge. Now I feel even more stupid for having sold a bunch of stuff I did not need to. GG me. :(

Now i got a reason to play and farm again.
Oh and question if I may. I saw in one of your videos, you've got like 20++ skills point in some skill branch. How did you exceed the base 20 max skill points?

Grow stronger by waiting for an update than actually makes gear somewhat relevant.
In what ways is gear not relevant? I feel like my gear is always pretty impactful in this game.
This is a reminder that if you find that he talks slowly, 1.25x speed is your friend. That's 1.25x play back speed, a percentage not base speed
only thing that sucks is the game punishes you for respecing... its a dumb design choice on the devs part by taking away skill points when re alocating them. its a pain having to respec go and farm for talent points and then come back and test in order to see which way would be more optimal. its really silly. and they should just remove it all together. why punish the player
This is a good game, but it has one too many affixes and combos that make no fucking sense. No cap fam.
