What I like about the customer builds (and also when you buy a new car) is when you go through everything and say what you like and don't like about the current set-up and why - very informative. 👍
Customer cars are nice just in the variety of setups. Gives you ideas on parts and layouts. You do a great job explaining the install but sometimes tend to stay with the exact same setup on every build
For a lot of them, if someone wants X amount of power, there is a recipe to get there. With that there are some parts that can be interchanged and for thr most part they all work in the end 🔥😅
Love the videos, but have had a pressing question.... what do you do in instances of switching out wheels, do you have the tire place reflash the sensors or do you buy new ones everytime, or do you just deal with a constant dashboard light?
That killer b turbo inlet is an absolute nightmare to work with. Their instructions say it can go in without pulling the manifold. Test results determined that was a lie. I actually had to file out a small relief on the inside of the curve because it absolutely would not clear one of the bolts on the manifold. Finally got it all in and then realized I needed to add that fitting all the way at the top near the turbo because even though they stated that the fitting only needed to be added if you retain stock PCV, they didn't account for the IAG being a 1:1 replacement. It was at that point that the manifold came off because it's physically impossible to get that fitting on (which they make you source on your own) with the manifold in place. Sorry for the salt lol... this was the worst experience I've ever had working on a car 😅
Hey Tanner, what are those clamps called that you’re using on the Intercooler couplers? I’d love to eliminate my worm clamps with something more robust.
Sucks that Competition Clutch hasent been the best for you, I love mine but then again I have a different platform so who knows. How did that corded multi-tool work out for ya, any easier than before?
Thing works wayyyy better than anything else 🔥 Haven't tried Como clutch on anything but subarus so can't speak for all of the thrm but never liked them on these cars 🫡
Love your work mate! I've personally rebuilt x2 ej207 based builds on a wrx wagon and forester xt both 2005 Not keen to split the block I'm an electrician with no one machinal training but if your passion it about the platform anything is possible with this channel Future power goals i wanna smoke some of these Aussie v8s with half the cylinders and wipe the smirk of their faces Straya
Hope you see this and able to help me. I have 2007 Subaru STI, I am having trouble with emission code P0448. Vapor Canister Vent Valve. But when you look there's no connection for it at all. No where next to the Charcoal Canister we are able to locate it. Is there a way to by pass it that you know of? Or do you know is the Cobb access port will work? Any input?
I'm not sure the correct way to ask unrelated questions so I apologize in advance I'm researching converting my 2013 wrx to e85 and I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to run 1050 injectors WITHOUT going to top feed fuel rails to avoid messing with TGV mods. I know you've mentioned this in a previous video but I'm having trouble finding it.
I am now EBCs and I only had it for a year due to a tune that would throw my cel up for maf not keeping up since they can only with stand like 16psi worth of air flow, I forgot the actual numbers of it
Hey so we got my car running and driving, 03 wrx wagon and my pioneer double din head unit doesn't power on. Also none of the dome lights come on either and I wired the low beams into the jdm aftermarket headlights and whenever you switch on the high beams, either wired together or no lows only high beam both right and left 15 amp fuses blow. Just wondering what your thoughts are. The headlight is a h11 led both high low, they have a hid ballest I didn't use to wire the lows in because I just have the normal 9007 halogen socket.
Sounds like a poped Fuse and some wiring that needs to be double checked. If the dome lights, radio etc are not getting power then something is stopping it. I would check to power inputs to the dome and radio to see if they're even getting 12V
No point when I have to build fuel lines, harnesse etc. If it was a full oem set up I would. But when building things from scratch I can since I have to figure out where things are going

The close deck gets material lressured between the case and the cylinder supports to make them stronger 🫡 essentially supports higher cylinder pressures 🙏
Open deck would pretty much be a stock block with no reinforcement around cylinder walls which restricts the amount of boost you can run safely. Closed deck is when you add an insert to an open deck block reinforcing the cylinder walls allowing you to run more boost. More boost = more power baby! Google open deck block vs closed deck block and you will see the difference.
What tire specs were you running on the WRX? Thinking of running 255/40 on 18x9.5 +42/+35 for the thicker sidewall on a 2021 STI. But can't decide whether 265/35 is better. Also do you think mach v crucials in bronze, enkei raijin, or ts10 in copper on a lapis STI? Can't decide 😭.
I am currently looking into Subarus and planning to purchase a WRX for myself. As there aren't many available in my country, I might want to import one from Japan. Going with that, is a Blobeye or Hawkeye the more reliable / cheaper to maintain car? Lookwise I love both!

Do you have a site where you list your rate/price for building a customer car?
It's different per car depending on status, yesr, milage etc. Email is typically the best way.
