This is not the Skeeter Rabbit who is dead ;) ''Stephen "Skeeter Rabbit" Nicholas from the Electric Boogaloos is dead... this is James Higgins ''Original Skeeter Rabbit'' from the Lockers and he is still alive ;)''
This Skeeter Rabbit ( James Higgins ) is not from the Electric Boogaloos. Steven Nichols a.k.a Skeeter Rabbit from EB past away 3 years ago. Skeeter Rabbit and Tony GoGo are both from The Lockers.
These guys are the ORIGINALS and do not need all that filler crap because they know locking from top to bottom, they do not have to do all kinds of acrobatics , their locking speaks for itself. I alway like to watch these two dance together, they were together in the beginning and if I remember right, even tho Don Campbell invented kocking , I think I have heard that Tony GoGo had the first performing group, because of Don and others on Soul Train the Lockers had not been out as a group, but Don had showed Campbellocking to Scooby B Doo, and so no, then Tony Put together a group ,I believe OG Skeeter Rabbit was in on it, so these two have danced together years in top of years. I notice how powerful their locking is, compare their points and wrist twirls , their moves have conviction. I watch other lockers especially the younger ones, and it seems with some its all about how many points they can throw and how fast, limp armed, not sharp at all. But these ORIGINALS have fun when they dance, but every move they make they mean it for real, and they complete a move before going into another, its clean, sharp on the beats. I hate when I see a dancer start a move, stop and go into another before the first one is done, it looks like they do not know their basics or is trying to throw and cram everything they know into the couple minutes the song lasts. It looks so sloppy.
Judy McGaugh Thank you for placing a comment with some facts! And I agree on your opinion. There sure are some great lockers from the younger generation, but ofcourse it’s hard to reach the same results as the originals/icons and legends did. Keep spreading the love for locking!
