Prediction: Amazon will roll back this policy once the long-term leases on their offices expire, and the ability to work remotely will become a job requirement.
Personally I don't mind working in office 5 days a week, but when you're sitting your behind in your cubicle WHILE your manager still works remotely, that's when I have a problem.
Should Amazon pay for the roads? Have you seen the awful state they are in? Any car feels like a rattle box and falls apart in a few years. Unacceptavlble while AMZ pays virtually no taxes.
If you want pre-covid economy, things have to go back to what they were in 2019. That includes having thriving downtown business core. And maybe it enforce policies to remove the homeless and drug use that lingers down there.
@Mreign248 fixed lol. The world cup only lasts a month and there is only a few games here as the event is distributed across all of North America. Then guess what will happen? There is no fixing Seattle. It is a dead city and 3 minor soccer matches aren't going to make the difference you think they will.
All highways require maintenance, and it is never a good time for maintenance. It is not a question of competency, it is simply fact that highway agencies have only two seasons: doing closures or planning for closures.
Amazon's return and Revive-I5 will make going north/south of Seattle by car & bus a complete nightmare. It is the best possible advisement Sound Transit could ask for the Lynwood extension.

we must give lumen field over to the homeless bums, call it a “thinderdome”. they will live there, and fight there.
you can't put the genie back into the bottle.
Homeless people are not really our enemy. Some Homeless are bad, but not all. Amazon should fold, because they don't exist in 1986.
@@cmdrls212 World Cup will be in Seattle soon. They will get the homeless situation fixed by then.

With people in the workplace, it'll be easier to form unions, it'll be easier to talk about our grievances, wages and other issues.
Bad time ? There will never be a good time , because the losers that are in charge of the dot are incompetent!
