Please don’t feel like what you know at any given point in your young life is the pinnacle of your experience. There is always more to learn. You should attempt to find yourself until the day you can no longer.

I’m only 21 and most of the people I know don’t listen to pink Floyd. But the meaning behind pink Floyd’s albums are some of the most amazing ever left in music so I love seeing more of our generation appreciating there music and forwarding there message.

Syd Barret said songs should have two meanings and his friends did just that. I knew a deeper meaning is buried in the album. A complex mystery never spoken of by the members. Thanks..this is makes sense...i felt deep occult symbolism was rampant in the album.

Waters is coming to Costa Rica on december and i already got the tickets, second time I'm going to his show which is spectacular. A few hours ago i was thinking about the meaning of the dark side of the moon, don't know why, so i decided to look for some reviews and most of them were watched for less than a minute scared to death of throwing up my coffee, but this work of yours left me in a quite interesting state of mind, like empty but absolutely decided to do what i have to do no matter what, it gave me something like courage and clarity of mind.. this is a real analysis because it comes from the heart, really really good.. i appreciate you took the time to do this. It changed my mind about the album and I don't know why but probably it has changed something else. I hope you're doing good.

Sigh. Most people are wrong because they don’t know the secret Pink Floyd does…. (As you rightly put in the beginning. It is about creation. But more so about the destruction that no one knows about) It is a heavy burden of knowledge to carry. The entire album is about the game of life. Us and them. We are the loonies. They are the part of society that is allowed to know the secrets of the mystery religions. It’s a messed up truth about the way the earth works. If everyone knew the truth there would be no organized society. So they have to oppress us. Understanding the secrets behind the eclipse is what the whole album and many many more forms of entertainment weave into their art. The final two songs are the ultimate expression of this reality. Observing the loonies walk around unknowing with the news paper holding their folded faces to the floor, and the continuation of this lie by omission that we call society. They describe it as a rat race in the song time, and money. Either way the final song is a crying out of this truth. The final line is, “But” the sun is eclipsed by the moon. Not “and”. Because of this eclipse nothing matters and everything matters. At some point the world will reset. Many will die in this transformation. Idk how those who know survive this great change. But they will pick up the pieces and restart society. Slowly creating the separate society. They are essentially inheritors and managers of sorts. That’s where the line… if the damn breaks open many years to soon. And if there’s no room upon the hill. They are describing possibilities, but either way they are communicating that they will see you on the dark side of the moon. The moon eclipses the sun and at a certain point we will be out of time. And that particular process will destroy this old world for the new. It will again and always will, renew. That is the dark side of this reality. Knowing that everything must be destroyed to be reborn…. Cheers and good luck
This is why I never listened to this band! I just wanted to get a brief idea about what the symbol means and not a 30 minutes of monotone lyrical poetry. I acknowledge the work it must have cost you and I believe its objectively good, but fuck...why didnt I check the length?:-D
Technically, it's a prism that shows a rainbow of colors on the light spectrum.. ..and there was no "formal" pride flag back when this was created & released in the 70s, they co-opted the rainbow (good choice) to depict infinite variety.. infinite possibility..
