the material is called Super sculpy polymer clay, you can see the one I used that the shopkeeper gave me at at ruclips.net/video/f-nJ_Uv6WTM/видео.html if I want a different color variations for the clay I mix in some powder that I scrape of soft pastels. To make the "pattern" I push the clay through some metal mesh, a simple household sift, for example, will have the same effect.
yes I used a few items that I bought in Japan, the labels are all in Japanese so I am afraid I can not tell you the names, but if you search for something like: "Lichen Moss Model Foliage" online I am sure you can find some.
well I started it without filming the first part, but basically I super glued a string to a piece of wood where I wanted the tree to be later, then put Oven Bake Clay Adhesive on the wood and placed lumps of clay shaped as rocks to make the landscape. Then the video shows the rest :)
