Hey I'm interested in using this for a piece we're doing on Bowser, can you tell me where this newsreel came from? Trying to track it down for copyright and fair use purposes!
They were made by Hearst Newsreels/Universal Studios, but currently maintained by UCLA Film Archives. If you're just showing this as a "one off" viewing and not reproducing this for profit, it's just so much easier to use this and not disturb the watchdog lawyers involved. Seriously, it's at least 80 years old. Holding a copyright for beyond 75 years is an insult and an affront to the original copyright laws.
