Looks mint mate. I want to fit a 75 tub to a 45 and it will involve a cut and shut and this was just the video I needed to see. Thanks for sharing and really nice work.
Does anyone have the measurements for the length of a 75 tub and 79 tub. Just to distinguish the difference when looking at buying a tub that claims to be a 75
Hi, can you confirm a few details for my own 79 tub conversion for a 75 series? where did you generate the measurement from (source)? Where did you mark the 110mm from? Can you show more detail or the trimming down & moving of under tub steps & the mount that you say you cut 20mm off? Cheers
Great job! Were those screws/rivet nuts (?) a pain in the towball to drill out? And did you find the metal in the actual headboard heaps harder than the body of the tray? Same toolbox as mine....how about spraying the toolbox with some of that leftover paint? Everybody has an alumi or matt black toolbox but a mustardy/Toyota tan toolbox just says “custom”!! Thanks for the great vids and keep on having a ball!
Thanks mate! the spot welds were pretty easy to drill out, only problem there was a lot of them haha From what I could tell they used the same steel all round. I'll have a look into painting it for sure!
@@Buildin70s i got mine done all thanks to this video! thanks mate i really appreciate it, it helped me every step of the way!! quick question though how did u mount the steps back onto the tub? did you have to make up a bracket for one side to bolt back onto? cheers my brother

Hey mate how hard was is getting the old tray off and what did u use to get the old one off and this one on iam looking and getting a tub cause my tray is rusted and is stuffed
Pretty easy for me i had access to a forklift and to get the tub on i got afew mates around to help lift it on
where did you buy the tub ?
Just got it off Facebook marketplace
are you selling the old tray
Didn’t built not bought fully paint the Ute himself?
Yeah check out my other videos, The original utes paint was pretty faded so i repainted it aswell!
Nice, looks to be holding up well too
Why would you want the tub?
At 0:37 you talk about “cutting 110 mil off” is that 11 cm?
Yes that's correct. Every 10cm is 100mm
@@Buildin70s Thanks alot, your accent was just a bit hard to understand haha! But thanks alot
