@@BRIGHG699 okay here my matchup naofumi iwatani vs hajime nagumo (the rising of the shield hero) vs (Arifureta from Commonplace to Worlds Strongest) Both are guys who were summoned to another world alongside other heroes by a church and were granted powers viewed as weak (Naofumi being the Shield and Nagumo possessing Alchemy) Both were originally eager and naive, only to be betrayed by the people they called their allies and left alone in a world where they have to fend for themselves, this event turns them into moodier versions of themselves as anti-heroes, a stark contrast to how they were before Both would have to save the world by taking on video game-like obstacles and defeating them in order to return home (The Waves of Catastrophe and the different Labyrinths) Both became more powerful thanks to their supposedly weak abilities and by absorbing the monsters that they beat (Naofumi obtains many powerful and useful shields by feeding monster drops to his shield and Nagumo obtains powerful abilities by eating the monsters he beats and making guns) Both met a girl who was also betrayed by the people they thought were allies and becomes a good ally who is in love with them (Raphtalia and Yue respectively) Both adopted little girls and save them from a life of slavery (Raphtalia for Naofumi and Nyu for Nagumo Both possess great power, but still fight mostly in groups Both find out that the church that summoned them is corrupt and that the enemy isn't as evil as they thought. They still had to fight them, but they're not completely evil Both act as more efficient heroes, despite their colder and more ruthless natures, than the people that they were summoned with due to being realists, and are able to tackle their worlds' obstacles better as proof (Naofumi is often the biggest reason why the Cardinal Heroes are as successful as they are and Hajime is often the biggest reason why the Labyrinths and the demon army are defeated) Both have to save a small village from a horde of enemies (Lute Village and Lake Town of Ur) Both travel their world and grow stronger as they complete certain quests, but not always for free
This is bloody amazing.
