Some Vtubers already rig their models as close as possible. I'm wondering why Vtuber companies don't do that aside from budget or creative reasons...
@@lazylonewolf For many of the models in Hololive the movement would simply look wildly out of place because the ratio between their real body’s limbs and torso don’t match their model’s
@@dylannix4289 Makes sense... anime proportions! I guess they can't do much with the longer limbs even if they adjust the models to fit their real bodies as much as possible

If you want an example of one that works surprisingly well, look up Hoshikawa Sara’s 3D stuff. Her model appears to be very similar to her body in terms of ratios judging by how well (smooth) the tracking seems to work
