Another vote here to watch Edge of Tomorrow. Not only Tom Cruise, but co-written by Christopher McQuarrie and co-starring the amazing Emily Blunt. Sci-fi, action, paradox… and big for Cassie: a love story!
For those wanting to watch it, it’s free on here [linked in above comment]. And I agree, I think it would be one they both enjoy. It gets my vote haha 😂
It's number 7 on Popcornrequests, the community site we use to vote films we'd like Cassie to react to, so there's a chance it'll happen some day! I'm a massive fan of Collateral, always awesome to see fellow Vincent fans :D
I know it already had a history before Tom, but I really feel the legacy around Ethan Hunt is Tom Cruise. In the same way different actors have been 007, I think eventually it will be the same with Hunt when Tom hangs it up.
It’s amazing that you both got invited to the premiere, I can’t believe that was over a year ago. And this is the first time since then you guys are watching it, I can’t imagine what that feels like.
Cassie does seem to enjoy a movie more when her sister is there to discuss it and it makes your combined reaction that much more enjoyable to watch. Merry Christmas to you both from Florida. Great reaction ladies!
Tom Cruise and Ving Rhames are the only actors to appear in all seven films in the series. Simon Pegg has been in every film since the third, and Rebecca Ferguson has been in every film since the fifth.
@@talkshow69 I'd love to see Jeremy along with Paula Patton (Jane from Ghost Protocol) and maybe even Thandiwe Newton (Nyah in M:I-2) if they can get them too.
You ladies too are so charming & fun !!! And truthfully you have helped me get thru some downs times to set out on the good foot once again. Thank you & happy holidays !!! 😃🙏🇺🇸💯❤️👍😎
I remember back in 2019 when Paramount, Skydance and Cruise himself announced back to back sequels:part 7 for 2021 and part 8 for 2022. The pandemic pushing back everything. Production on Part 1 wrapping up, the first trailer dropping and announcing the beginning of the end to the franchise was exciting. This was definitely worth the admission. Brilliant story, even better cast and plenty of shockers. These action sequences are all incredible and steady keep you on the edge. Well constructed for Cruise to do his thing and other actors getting into the action as well. Henry Czerny returning as Eugene Kittridge (ex-IMF director/now-director CIA director) was a nice addition and ever since M:I-1, he realizes that Hunt as an leader can still get things done. I did see this on IMAX and enjoyed every minute. This was one of the better films out among many failing blockbusters. The 8th film (aka DR part 2) was hallway through filming when the actors' strike started. When the strike ended, the movie was completed, retitled "Final Reckoning" and pushed back to 2025 (in a few months). By all means worth the wait and the trailer looks amazing. Loved the callbacks to the first film: 1. Bravo Echo One One is Ethan Hunt's Identification Code. First heard after he lost his team in Prague. 2. Sleight of hand with the keys pieces. Ethan did that with The NOC List. 3. Luther being referred to as 'The Net Ranger & 'Phineas Freak'. His known aliases as an tech genius prior to meeting Ethan and planning The NOC List heist.
Each Mission: Impossible movie keeps getting better and better, it's insane when you think of it because it's about to be 30 years that Tom Cruise has been doing all his awesome stunts with the franchise. Also, this is one of my favorites of the franchise and I can't even imagine what they are going to do for Part 2.
Have you ever thought about looking into the IMF TV series that came out in the late 60's? It stared Peter Graves as well as Leonard Nimoy , Barbara Bain , Greg Morris & Martin Landau. It ran for 143 episodes.
"Hunter Killer" is another really good movie with Gerad Butler. You guys would love it. It is action, has Seals, has submarines and it is a quality film with no cheap action.
@Cassie and Carly: You have no idea how much your channel does. Emerging from a really dark chapter in my life, and having something like the positivity from your videos, the momentary distraction from life, the sister banter, and even the intro and outro music is such a comforting thing. When you appreciate the things that brought comfort and relief while experiencing personal tragedies, and upon emerging through to the other side, it keeps one humble, but most of all a sense of paying the deed forward, which is what I wish to do, professionally, in its own way. If this channel has done this much for me, I cannot begin to imagine how much it has done for others. You girls are, through your beautiful energy, saving lives. Thank you 🙏
After how smug, calm, self-satisfied and completely confident Gabriel has been thorough the entire movie, him screaming "ETHAN!" in a murderous rage at the end was very cathargic in a way.
My favorite trivia tidbit about this movie is about Ilsa's eyepatch. You'd think it was an atmosphere choice, or some story beat, or some deep character background lore, but nope It's because Rebecca Ferguson can't wink.
Unfortunately I found this one a real let down after the last few movies. Bad guy was a personality vacuum and the main plot just not very engaging and worst of all none of the stunts/set pieces were a patch on the previous films. Hope the next movie is an improvement.
Esai Morales (Gabriel) wasn't the original plan. Superman 2025's Nicholas Hoult had to drop due to scheduling conflicts or he'd have been the Entity's Gabriel. Not sure what film we'd have ended up with. Personally I thought Morales was very cool considering there's history there for Ethan with Gabriel. I'm really confident Final Reckoning will be another box office earner on the level of Maverick. Don't let this put you off seeing the end of a very long series.
It’s so bad. Rebecca Ferguson confirmed they start these movies with only a basic idea and formulate the story as they go, and boy you can tell. The AI was stupid, the villain was boring, and giving Ethan Hunt new backstory after seven movies felt weird. Like, all this time he’s been cut up over some chick we’ve never seen before 🤷♂️ I’m baffled people love this movie as much as they do.
In the scene in the beginning of the movie where they’re having the briefing, you can see a picture of Angela Basset on the wall, she was in the last movie. Also, Leonard Nimoy played a character named Paris in the original Mission Impossible tv series.
Have you seen baby-Tom Cruise in one of his first great movies "Legend" (1985) yet? I've requested this one in the past. Think you two would love it. Romance, adventure, fantasy, mythical, unicorns, dwars, fairies... everything a legendary quest should contain.
Gabriel is so evil, he made the sweet, soft-spoken and pure Cassie utter the "B- word"(sorta). 😂🤣 Awesome reaction, Ladies. I'm super excited for Final Reckoning.
Hats off to you guys and your editor. You did a great job that made us all feel we were there in the theater with you watching the movie. Superior production. You’ve come a long way Cassie and no one deserves it more. .
So the next movie is not called part 2 anymore. It is called The Final Reckoning. The reason for this is that part 1 did incredibly bad at the box office and they don't want the new one to be associated with part 1. The reason part 1 did so bad was either poor planning or bad luck. This movie came out one or two, I think it was one, week before Barbie and Oppenheimer. This meant that they lost all of the premium screens, the big ones that cost more, so without those screens it made less and since there were two new movies that everyone wanted to see it's popularity fell quickly. I don't think this will hurt the next one, no more than the franchise is waning already, and hopefully they do a better job of scheduling it. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
I absolutely love this movie! I've seen it six or seven times at my local theater, and each viewing was more thrilling than the last. This is hands down the best Mission: Impossible film yet and my favorite Tom Cruise performance alongside Top Gun: Maverick! I'm counting down the days until Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning (Part Two) hits theaters in summer 2025-it's going to be an epic summer with that and the new Superman movie! It's incredible that you both got to attend the premiere and meet the cast, especially Tom Cruise himself. That must have been unforgettable! I would love to meet him too next to Patrick Stewart! 😊
I didn't like this movie as much as the ones before it. I wanted to like it but.... maybe seeing part 2 later will improve some of it somehow. But some scenes and decision just didn't click
Love the new studio setup. Can't believe it has been a year since your Mission Impossible experience. That must have been the thrill of a lifetime meeting Tom Cruise. And I am sure he loved meeting you both. I know I would sure love meeting you both. You have that effect on people. If you are looking for another Tom Cruise (and Nicole Kidman) movie to watch, please react to 'Eyes Wide Shut.' It was Stanley Kubrick's last movie. It is not a Christmas movie. But it does take place during Christmas time.🎄
That little yellow car is a reference to the chase scene in the James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only. That should have been your other Roger Moore Bond films instead of Live and Let Die. It's one if the best Moore films and one of the Best Bond films.
Kitridge's words about the next war (over resource like energy and water) are easily overlooked as simple dialog, but man that's a real warning right there.
Fun re-watch of this with you ladies (again beyond awesome you met Christopher & Tom :D ) Looking forward to Pt. II (and again in IMAX). I hope you get around to watching Tom's early stuff like RISKY BUSINESS.
42:58 - "I still haven't forgiven them for this..." Rebecca Ferguson actually asked to be written out of the franchise, because she felt filming took to long and kept her from working in other films.
I remember watching your video of attending the premier of this movie. I have to say you ladies looked like you could STAR in a Tom Cruise MI flick . . .
It's predictive and believable. Have you heard about the real world AI recently caught lying to its devs, trying to protect itself from being deleted to make way for an updated version?
Killing off IIsa Faust was a huge mistake in this film. They should have given Rebecca's character more to do in the film and set up a great ending in the new film that's coming out next year.
It seriously annoyed me 😖. But there’s an interview vid here on RUclips where she indicates it was her decision. She was committed to ‘Dune’ and didn’t want MI to interfere with that. Basically saying it would require months of sitting around waiting for her bits as Ilsa to be filmed. She’s an amazing actor and immensely watchable. I’ve got Mission Impossible to thank for introducing me to her.
@@curiousthecat Rebecca said she wanted out of the franchise. That didn't mean they had to give Ilsa such a shitty death not even halfway into the film after barely giving her any screentime... What bothers me most isn't that they killed her off but how they did it. The writing in this movie is terrible, Rebecca and the cast have talked about how they basically come up with the story and writing as they are making the movie and I've always wondered how they managed to make Rogue Nation and Fallout so bloody good when doing that... But then we got this movie and I guess it doesn't always work. It's all a big incoherent mess, you can really feel how the movie is just built around these three huge set pieces and we have a lame villain, characters acting OOC, introducing completely new background stories that doesn't even make sense with what we've learned from the previous movies. Crazy considering how great the previous films were.
@ I agree. It took a second watch to understand who was what. There are characters that simply appear and we, the audience, are supposed to know who they are and what their motives are. It’s the feeling I get from the Marvel and DC franchises, where they seem to believe we are breathlessly following the stupid streaming series the keep spawning. I assume Tom and company knew this was the last MI and just got carried away… Instead of one tight story, they ended up with two, three, 🤔 or more. It’s the Hollywood disease. Peter Jackson made a decent LotR trilogy and decided to do the same with ‘The Hobbit’ … and ended up with a bloated mess [which spawned the god awful Amazon series, with more theatrical films hinted at]. Nevermind the Star Wars spin-offs. It’s all sequels/prequels… if you want the big production budgets. Oh well. And Ilsa’s death after that scene on the balcony in Venice really 🤬
When I first saw that movie I was quite sure that that trainwreck scene must have been heavily inspired by one of the Uncharted games. I cannot remember exactly in which part, but there was something quite similar, I think the game even started with a train wrecking, hanging half over the cliff and you needed to climb up while wagons fell off and exploded.
And that is something people knew beforehand and therfore didn't even go watch the movie? Bullocks I say. I tell you the real reason: To name it "Part 1". I personally refuse to watch movies that are deliberately split in two to make more money. And the studio seems to agree with my assessment because they didn't call the 2nd Part "Dead Reckoning Part 2" out of exactly this fear.
This was a really good movie. But there were a few things that just didn't seem right. Like making them some type of criminal and they choice IMF over prison. How Ethan just so happens to remembers Gabriel before he knows anything about the mission and then it turns out that Gabriel is the villain of the show. And the whole jump off the mountain to land on the train was not necessary. He rode past it twice and could had easily grabbed it at the back of it like the cowboys did when they rode up on their horses in the old black and white movies.
Wow. I can't believe it's a year and a half later either. 😮 I was never big on the MI movies but I lurved this one and was super bummed when part two got pushed back. The trailer for that one slaps (as the younger folks say). I hope if I'm able to go, I can see it in IMAX. 😊🙏🏼
How come I never see any reactors mention how Grace as the White Widow clearly has brown eyes when the real White Widow has blue? It was a glaring difference when I saw it in theaters.
I just watched MI2 for the first time. Saw MI1 YEARS ago but not the rest. I now plan on watching 2 MIs a month until I'm caught up. BTW The Woman who plays Nyah is BEAUTIFUL.

Nevermind the Star Wars spin-offs. It’s all sequels/prequels… if you want the big production budgets. Oh well.
And Ilsa’s death after that scene on the balcony in Venice really 🤬
Popcorn sisters are the best
Love that Cassie picked up on the line ‘The greater good.’
Absolutel Cinemaphile👍
Popcorn In Bed Such A Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
I usually don't say this about movies these days but I'm really looking forward to part 2.
I want to wish you Sweethearts a Happy Christmas 😊 and Happy Holidays 😊❤❤
You both definitely need to see, " Risky Business" for sure.
great one. cant wait for part 2 .
14:59 - THE GREATER GOOD
O:42. All I can say is “HUBBA HUBBA!” You ladies are looking DAMN fine! ❤️❤️
Canr wait for part 2
Why didn't the film do better? Two reasons: the AI came across as a weird addition and they killed Ilsa.
Tom Cruise is the last movie star.
Well now you have to see
BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY, it’s Tom’s best performance!
No love for Taps?
Happy birthday!
I fell in love with Hayley Atwell completely with this movie.
Me to. But the Movie was Pillars of the Earth!
Same. Knew some of her work before, but she stole every scene here.
I don't think anyone will forget that moment when Ilsa died because I won't
Some probably told you, but the train and jump is filmed in Norway.
How come I never see any reactors mention how Grace as the White Widow clearly has brown eyes when the real White Widow has blue? It was a glaring difference when I saw it in theaters.
I just realized, one of them is Farmboy, from Princess Bride!
And it's kinda sad that that's the best identification you could come up with for Cary Elwes. 😜✌😂
You mean Dread Pirate Roberts?
Well, few people know his real name, but everyone knows Farmboy/Dread Pirate Roberts!
@@phillipmullineaux9641 kinda my point, it's sad that few people know his real name now.
I just watched MI2 for the first time. Saw MI1 YEARS ago but not the rest. I now plan on watching 2 MIs a month until I'm caught up.
BTW The Woman who plays Nyah is BEAUTIFUL.
You should check out Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie's "Jack Reacher" from 2012, and maybe also their "Edge of Tomorrow" from 2014
Esai Morales killed it as Gabriel 👏🏼👏🏼
