The large portion rotates with the hinge pin and stops against the trim. Yours doesn’t because you have your trim positioned way out. These things dent trim!

Thought it would be great. Doesn't work. clip hits the trim and the "adjustment" increments are too many degrees. The one setting let it go just past 90 degrees (needed 90), and the next setting stopped it at around 65 degrees, which is unacceptable (not open even close to fully. To be fair, mine is "Smart Stop" but it looks EXACTLY the same as this. Exactly.

Totally rigged demonstration. 99% of doors don’t have the extended hinges these work with. As others have mentioned, it just pits your door against the trim
