    Thank you so much for this CJ, if I ever have anything like this happen in my tank I know which video to go too!

    Looks good CJ, I can’t help but think some of those heavy feedings could cause a lot of issues. Perhaps less food concentrated over a sandy area with all the pumps off. Then you can really gauge how much is going to be wasted and turned into phosphorus and nitrates or keep you on a nutrient rollercoaster, Or feed what you normally would in one area and see what is leftover on the sand bed after 5 minutes. Then feed the coral separately.
    Don’t give up!

    Am glad you didn’t give up. I was reading a article about lyngbya this has exploded with using dry rock and man made rock. Dinos as well. Due to low bio dome levels.

    Good job. Urchins might help also. Mine munch through some nasty algae that my snails won't touch.

    Great video CJ ! It’s Just a normal phase imo manually remove it by pinching it with your thumb and syphoning that area at the same time and get you a big turbo gang (I mean big !) should start to see a huge difference in just a couple of days

    I would of installed a uv and added more clean up crew. I would be uneasy adding more chemicals especially after a crash…

      I’d be surprised if the CUC would eat the bacteria and UV did not work for me.

      I’ve been running a 25w Pentair uv for months and CUC died trying to eat this stuff in the beginning.. definitely feel you on natural routes but the tank was getting close to the point of no return in a hurry

    I had to look up Lyngbya. How do you find out this is what you had?

    • @CJSAQUARIUMS
      @CJSAQUARIUMS  Год назад +1

      Was a suggestion that I researched.. this stuff popped up when my tank bottomed out months ago and caused havoc

    CJ, have you tried Bacto Therapy yet from Fauna Marin? I had that same stuff in my system and it slowly started to eat it away. It is pretty much completely gone now!

    Nice documentation on this situation I must say it was interesting to see how you tackle lyngbya with dosing water change and blackouts. Where I would just dose and do large water change as I've always did except blackouts for me that method didn't do much wonders. I'm giving reefing a break returning with new equipment. Be easy , keep 🎥🎬filming, and how bout those eagles? Green Bay vs eagles 🦅

    What were your doses of Reef Flux and Chemiclen? I have a 75ext and am dealing with it as well

    I have something similar. Mine looks more like a rusty dust. If I let it go for too long it starts growing a little bit of hair like strands like yours. I will give this a shot and see what happens.

    You say you make blackout in the middle of the treatment. Is it between the first and second dosage you mean?
    I am in the process of trying your method and have just dosed for the first time
