So , after watching a few different reviews on this product in which people complained about the time it took to cook as well as the level of browning, I came up with a theory as to why and ordered myself one to test my hypothesis out. I probably should have recorded it, but I didn’t. ( maybe I will redo it and record it). Anyway I noticed users left the top open while it heated up and while cooking. Huge no no. Also, users tended to overcrowd the little basket. I got beautiful crispy golden brown. The only negative I have is I wish there was a window grr so I could watch the foods progression. Great review , I hope you make more!

I appreciate you showing the measurements for the actual basket. All the reviews that I’ve seen say the size of the whole item.

The basket is pretty small, so I actually use the fryer without it. It’s a pretty good little machine for the price, now that I’ve realized to just crank it up to max each time…no matter what I’m frying.

I'm making fries right now as I watch your video. My first batch turned out too dark, 2nd batch is just right. Added a bit of salt and waiting for my husband to come home so I'm going to keep them warm in the oven 😊.I did drain them on a paper towel to absorb the oil.

U have to close the lid so the grease can heat

@@theresaenglesson8749 no, you can leave it open but it heats better and keeps it from splashing out.

I empty the cool oil into the original bottle that I save, then I put water into it. I heat up the water, dump it out, and avoid any water getting into the bottom where the electronics are…then use paper towels to wipe out the unit. I use a microfiber cloth on the outside whenever I’m finished using it after it’s cooled off.

As with your rolls most people put too much food in the fryer at one time. Less means faster fry time and steady on heat.

    How to clean it

The oil stays inside as it’s stored. When you’re ready for an oil change, wipe out any excess with paper towels until almost grease-free. I use light dishwashing liquid and avoid immersing the whole fryer into any water. Rinse, and paper towel dry. It’s pretty easy to maintain. That’s what works for me.

Well you put 6 in so I can see why it took a while

@@erichjort2546 I should give an update because this thing actually is pretty dang good. Initially it took a while to heat up, but it’s now “normal” and I fry anything from tots, to hot dogs, to bacon to nuggets. This thing is a champ for $14.

I find the light not very helpful I just let it heat up to almost 15 minutes and Ik it's ready!

It wasnt high enough to start with and you put too many rolls in at one time. Too many and the oil can't circulate enough to fry properly. Same way you don't add too many if using a wok.
