Girl! I think the best advice is to look at the year the apartment was built. You may loose square footage but you’ll have less 🪳 80s &90s early 2000s run. Really look for 2020 and newer. Personally I like prefer Richmond, TX & Missouri City, just close enough. The people down here though are to comfortable living with pest.

Thank you for the advice. I’ve only had 2 apartments here so far and both were brand new first to live in them. I’ve only seen 2 roaches since I’ve moved here so thankfully it’s not an issue for me but some of my friends have had really bad issues especially with the older apartments. I will definitely look into those areas as well, thank you 💕
So the “roaches” you are talking about are called “waterbugs”. They are big ass roaches and some of them even fly. They usually come out after it rains or when it’s hot and humid. The smaller roaches like to infest dirty indoors, but waterbugs don’t typically cause an infestation. You only see a couple at a time.
Not even that, all of these apartments are infested. Everyone I move I have to throw all my things away because I’m afraid to take them with me. Houston has traumatized me fr
Listen, I am feeling the same way. I told myself I will move to Houston from FL and staying for a few years. If I don't feel the desire to remain there, try out a different state or move out of country too. Literally... LOL Because I'm TIEEEED 💯

I felt the SAME way when I move to Houston…they will waste your time and not care, scam you, the roaches was terrible and big as hell and I am not about that life, I was calling the health dept and everything! I agree about the resources. I am from Minnesota and it is a Democratic State and you have all the resources available to you. When I moved her to Dallas, TX I found there is no resources here. Huge difference from Minnesota. It is all of Texas. All of Texas does not have resources because this is a Republican state. I even lived in Phoenix, Arizona for 5 years and even they have resources.
Yes, I know exactly what you mean... why did you move from Minnesota? Is there any particular reason? My husband and I were thinking about moving there.
@@victoriaanderson863 because it is too cold. If you can deal with cold weather move there. If u cannot I suggest you not move there. It can get up to 54 degrees below zero. Almost like sticking your finger in liquid nitrogen. You expose any skin and you will have immediate frostbite.
I’ve lived in Houston off and on since 2005 and when I last moved here 2023 I notice major issues I didn’t experience before. Like the power outages and the roaches well the water bugs only come when it rains but I’m noticing from different apt comments roaches is a problem and I had an issue when a neighbor moved out … yes do an apt tours I’m currently looking for another apt in Houston but I may be leaving

Thanks for making this video. If you’re thinking about moving to Africa just know that their justice system is totally different. Limited women’s rights is why polygamy is popular there - some women put up with it in exchange for protection because there’s no true police system in some places. Also be aware of love scams (foreigners using Americans for citizenship). Remember, it’s a 3rd world country. Many businesses don’t have access to computers or internet. Driving on roads can also be a challenge
I hate living here. If I had wasn't married I would leave tomorrow and head back to nyc. Chinese food sucks. Food in general isn't that good. Very little diversity. Everyone looks alike. It's a town not a city
Hell yea im working on getting back rite now. Houston overrated and trash shit like a big ass brownsville / east new york with suburbs on the outskirts
That's absolutely wrong. Houston is so diverse and the food is great. What area do you live in and where have you been going to eat? I've traveled the country and people from all over rave about our food and I know at least 5 Asian people who lived here from other cities so that they could have access to various Asian foods mainly Vietnamese and Indian but we also have hella Chinese food.
Agree with all of this. I'm moving 1st chance, just traveling right now, so I can choose where I want to move. The people are some of the worst. The weather, don't get me started.... way too hot. If you can afford it, there are so many more beautiful places to live with more to do, more life to live.
