- Hi Friends & Happy Monday! I haven't been finding much dumpster diving lately, so I decided to do a Thrift With Me video to show you how I thrift for items to resell online! :D I absolutely loovvee thrift shops: the hunt is so exciting! My favorite sections to look through are the men's t-shirts (for vintage), the housewares and figurines, and those little grab bags with lots of random stuff! This time I spent roughly $50 and hope to make about $200 from it all (150 dollars in profit)!!
What are your best thrift store tips and tricks?? Do you have a section that you always find good stuff in or a brand name that always sells quickly for you?

I really like the idea of you posting the “reality” of dumpster diving. So many channels make it look almost glamorous. Great job on the voice over....you always do your best, I can tell. Give Pilgrim a kiss on the nose for me! 💞

Australian Goodwill stores are the most expensive thrift stores here. They usually charge $15 - $20 for a secondhand dress.

Yes I don’t know why people are complaining about the music. Did not bother me at all I’m used to seeing that with thrifting videos but I guess you have to pander to the majority of your audience 😢

You could also do "what sold" videos, shipping, how to reupholster with hubby...etc.
I agree!!! I loved watching them redo that dining room table. Before, during and after was cool. I have also asked her to do 'what sold' videos and shipping vids too. But I think she has only done it once. I think once every 2 weeks kind of schedule on that would be cool!!

Yes, I’m on board for that, too. I always wonder what sold, how it sold and I’d love to know how much was made. Maybe profit is a little too nosy, but I really want to be on the “way to go, girl!” side of her success. I just love her personality. She’s the kind of girl who would be such a good friend. She’s so sweet and kind. But yes, I’d love more details about the merchandise that sells and a virtual High-five for her successes.

MY BROTHER HAD A SKI HAT LIKE THAT. and he had the thickest glasses in the whole world and he wore them under it so helooked like a google eyed underwater freak,, I loved it when he wore it, thanks for picking it up , my brother died many years ago and that gave me a smile from ear to ear.

I had to "rewind" the video to listen to the music that everyone is talking about. It apparently didn't bother me because I didn't notice. It's pretty cool (listening to it a second time). Kelly... do what you want. Live your life to your fullest! You are so sweet! ✌
1:33 girl run back and grab that pink/white striped planter with a crown. That is a vintage piece that Rae Dunn made for FTD baby bouquets and it is saught after by RD collectors and could fetch you a decent chunk of cash!

@@dumpsterdivingdebzat the timestamp posted, its almost a cube shape, pink and white large stripes with a golden crown motif on the front. It has a green thing in a package sitting on top of it. But you wont see it very clearly as she scrolls past it looking along the shelves.
Sometimes it would be nice when thrift or antique shopping to do a livestream and use other people's real time knowledge! Although that could be risky too...i guess if you collected the things ppl pointed out that had value then took a good long moment to look them up before checking out or else if they were just that cheap (these arent, we have one thrift store in Ohio that i would say you could buy now and research later because the start prices are truely that cheap...)
Always fun tho...if u get some treasures or just spot them.

Great video :) Always nice to see you! I enjoy tagging along (virtually) with you on your dumpster dives or your thrifting trips or curb alerts. I like hearing your comments on the items you choose to pick up or leave behind. I think it is better to buy (or find!) used items -- better for us and better for the earth :) There is so much stuff already cramming the landfills. We need to reuse items or upcycle or repurpose instead of constantly buying new. You are doing great and I love your attitude! Makes me happy :)

yep, I don't watch other divers that find enormous finds, just don't feel true. Yes Estate sales, love to see what you find there. Sadly I can't watch your shopping because I get motion sickness, so I click away but listen and when I hear you describe I click back! Can't miss what you find!
I like your voice over and the music is fine. Many YT thrifters have had to go to voice overs and other music. Keep doing you! Some great finds today!

I'd still like to see your videos, even if you don't find much/anything. Although I always feel sort of disappointed when we go and don't find anything. But it's true; that's the reality of it. Especially lately, for some reason.

Thrift stores have gotten very expensive. They have prices almost as high as regular stores. I rather buy brand new if I am going to pay high price.
You can buy new on clearance cheaper than some thrift stores.
Awesome job with the voice-over I like the music. I love thrift shopping so I really liked this video a lot. I sold some Cabbage Patch dolls didn't get much for them but the lady was thrilled and they were in really great condition I think I sold her like 5 for $30

I really thought your music was too loud compared to your voice. I had to keep turning down the volume when you stopped talking. Nice to see a different thrift store than the one I go to. Should have gotten the Larry Byrd cards.

There are heaps of copyright free music onRUclips, perhaps something other than a repeat whatever it was supposed to be next time? Put things that you like into your trolley when you see them, you can always put them back if you change you mind :)
OMG! You look super cute with your hair up (in the end of the video). Love that look on you! I think you did a great job with the voice over. I've noticed lots of other reseller/youtubers doing the same thing. I think it's more relaxing to watch that way without all of the normal background noise (kids crying/screaming, loud music, noisy chatter, etc.). Keep doing what you're doing. Love your videos!

Fun thrift shopping. So as a newbie when you see something you might go back to and forget about them, put them in your cart and then you have them to contemplate about. If you decide you don’t want them you can put them back. That’s what I do

I also liked this new video, except for the music 😃 I think it's because I have to turn the volume up to hear you, but then suddenly the music begins very loud. That's just my opinion. Maybe start posting going to yard sales. And the thrifting is great idea. I love the way you do things because i hate watching the videos when people place things in the trash cans just to get lots of likes. You are 100% real and i like that. Maybe start a barter group local and trade items with other divers and post the trades.

I love the change of content. Although I love your DD videos, too. It’s fun seeing different aspects of your resale adventures. The only thing I can say (constructively and politely) about the music is that it was louder than the voice over. I kept having to adjust my earbuds. I’m pretty sure there is a way to adjust the volume when editing, but I do know what a pain editing can be. I’ll continue watching in any case. I appreciate you keeping it real. I liked this video Kelly! Glad you were able to do the voiceover. You did great. I didn't mind the music either. I can't believe how expensive some of the prices are but some were ok. I always feel like for the places that get everything free and with so many people that were cleaning their houses out that those places shouldn't charge so much so they can sell more things since lots of thrift stores are so loaded with items. On another channel they said their thrift stores are literally going through everything and rejecting a lot! Sad.
Not gonna lie, but the music was annoying. I like the voice over style and love you and your happy self. Maybe just add more music. I'll watch no matter what. My bf asks me every night if I'm watching my dumpster girl. 😊❤❤
Since you asked... didn't hate the music but didn't exactly like the music - maybe a softer music that would appeal to the majority because as you know you can not please everyone.
I like the thrifting video just the same as the dumpster diving videos however there seemed to be times in the thrifting video that you was moving rather fast and it was not from the speeding up of the video.
I would say slow down a bit even if that means doing a part one, two, three etc if the video.
Definetly stay true and authentic that is what your viewers like about you.
Happy to see you release a video was nice to see what thrift stores are like in your area.

Love ya girl, but, music was very annoying, always good to stick with what you know. Cabbage patch doll, did you look it up? Keep working it. You can make this happen. Post more often, get to know products, study eBay or other, get to know names, age, and use of stuff.
Fun music. I wish you bought that puffed sleeve vintage dress in the first thrift. Depending on condition, dresses like that can sell over 50.00. Cottagecore and all that. Thanks for taking us with you,
