Its a fact that the greatest era of Scottish football in the 60s to 70s mainly had 2 leagues, less repetitive fixtures, less pressure on survival and more willingness to give young players a chance because each game wasnt a 6 pointer. Playing the same team 4 or 5 times each season is boring.

Dae ye know that that is the shipyard on the news...
Loved this video Im a long time morton fan seen the best times and the worst times but I'll never stop loving them and (cum on eh ton 🔵⚪🔵)
Why are St Mirren called the Buddies
It's a Paisley thing
Did you find the soap
Falkirk Dunfermline
Soon!
Inverness and Ross county
Soon I hope!
I went there
Sometimes called the Ton or The Pride of the. Clyde, or........
the soapdodgers.
SMFC!!! 🖤🤍❤️
Thanks for watching!
The top league would be better with them in it. So many derbies are missed each season because of our 12 team division.
100% agreed well sead.
Lots of revenue being missed out on as a result.
@@alanfox691 A derby with Morton in the top flight would be great, not happened for 32 years, At Christmas 79-80 Morton were top of the Premier league and St Mirren finished 3rd and in with a shout of winning it going into the last few weeks.
Sam we are gonna teach you good Scottish words lol😂
You only know Scottish football when you do junior football, especially Ayrshire. Cumnock v Auckinleck Talbot No1.
Definitely need to check them out soon!
Saw you with a Victory jersey , Scot in Melbourne so watch them often
Really enjoying the videos getting very homesick 👍🏻
@@PeasyFC nice, I used to live in Melbourne. Bourke street in the city. As well as bondi for a few years. Love and miss oz very much!
I would agree with that 100%
Junior football is a massive deal in Scotland.
Ladeside got as much rivalry than Cumnock with the Talbot
Best Ayrshire derby in Kilbirnie v Beith by a mile anyway the Garnock derby
The TON not the TUN🙈🙈
There's technically no such thing as the 'SPL' any more. When the SPFL was formed, the name SPL was dropped and it just became the SPFL Premiership
🇾🇪
St Mirren "haven't done amazingly well" against Morton... If you overlook the fact we've lost a grand total of 2 competitive games to the Soapdodgers in 20 years 😂😂😂 Hopeless and soapless, forever in our shadow 🙈🇾🇪🇾🇪🇾🇪🇾🇪
That was absolutely horrific hearing you repeatedly - time and time again - talk about "Greenock fans" and suchlike. And I'm saying this as a *St. Mirren* fan (their _supposed_ rivals). They are Morton fans. The team is Morton. Greenock is ignored as a prefix.
Also, wtf with "Ton" as if it's a weight? You need to say "tawn" like tawny owl.
Always learning!
@@FootyAdventures Im glad you got video footage of the sun shining in Greenock. Many people who believe in such things as flat earth are sure seeing sun in Greenock is an illuminati conspiracy theory.
Will you stop saying old firm, there is no oldfirm
Believe what you like.
There is an Old Firm or Auld Firm as we might say.
Just the same as there is a
New Firm.
There's more people that still refer to it as the Old Firm than not and a good lot of them would be Celtic supporters who don't share your daft view!
