Thank you! I've been using a dark ash blonde to cover my grey and have never been happy with the results. I'm going to now use the demi permanent. You are an excellent teacher! I love the way you explain things.
Thanks I appreciated this video. I also am a hairdresser that started in the 80s. I can relate with what you're saying. I'm disappointed that I missed the opportunity for the bootcamp. I had a question, are you saying you only use the demi after you've bleached it? Could you just put the demi on the hair to cover the grey and then do highlights? I guess you mean if they want a lighter base you do that but if they are simply covering grey and want to be around the same as their natural you could use the demi. If you use demi lighter than their natural will the greys also be lighter like a highlight?
Hi Chantelle, so to answer your question if someone (like me) simply wants the grey gone and likes the natural color and loves dimensional highlights I use demi on dry hair at the root and process for 35 minutes and depending on the person I either highlight at the same time right over it or shampoo, dry and then highlight. The other example you asked about only using after bleach is when someone is a level 5 or deeper and insists on beind all over lighter, I prefer to get there using a heavy highlight and then using a demi to root shadow to the desired shade vs. using permanent color and inviting all of the brassy tones. I hope that helps. Be sure to sign up for my mailing list I have more bootcamps and amazing events coming up you don't want to miss www.expertcolorsolutions.com please keep in touch
That’s awesome! “Stop avoiding what you don’t understand and learn it” yes yes yes! I’m so glad that I found your Chanel! I’m in Port St. Lucie Fl and I can’t wait to attend your classes!
What do you do after you did a client with permanent? Is there a way to fix it or reverse effects? Or do you just start using demi the next time she sits in your chair?
Brittany, it depends on the situation and whether you are going deeper or lighter. It can be as simple as just switching or could turn into a corrective situation the first few times.

If you use a level 10 demi with a 10 developer, will it actually cover the grey if the natural hair is a 9? Does level 12 even work?

Elaine Travis how do I sign up??
Can you mix demi permanent with 20% developer?
Hi you can but it would defeat the purpose of using a demi it would make more sense to use permanent then. What would your reason be for wanting to?
I’m so astounded, repeatedly, by what you’re saying, that I keep waiting for you to give your sales pitch for your own demi colorant line…
