Question, once you receive your permit, does the 6 months until you take your behind the wheel test start once you receive the permit or activate the permit through a driving lesson?

Hello, the 6 months starts the day you earn your permit from the DMV. We always recommend waiting at least 6 months AND 1 day, because sometimes the DMV calculates the 6-months a little differently than the average human (and they will turn you away if it's not 6-months according to their system, they can't override it). Hope that helps!

Hello! Please check out this link where they have the handbook in 9 different languages: www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/handbook/california-driver-handbook/
If you have specific DMV handbook questions, let us know and we'll try our best to help... or you can always go straight to the DMV too:
      1) Go to www.dmv.ca.gov/
      2) Click "Ask DMV" link on the bottom of the screen
      3) In the question box, type "rep"
You can then speak to a DMV agent over chat and they can answer your question with 100% accuracy. This option is actually pretty fast. Hope that helps!!

Hello! The test for seniors is shorter (25 questions) and also won't have some the the questions that are specific to new driver license restrictions for teenagers. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

@@zuriashwork6030 Hello again! I am not 100% sure how to answer your question, so I would recommend going straight to the source by contacting the CA DMV:
To get the most definitive answer I would suggest:
      1) Go to www.dmv.ca.gov/
      2) Click "Ask DMV" link on the bottom of the screen
      3) In the question box, type "rep"
You can then speak to a DMV agent over chat and they can answer your question with 100% accuracy. This option is actually pretty fast.
The DMV can also be contacted via phone:
      1-800-777-0133
      TTY 1-800-368-4327
      Hope that helps!!
