I just installed my 2024 Suzuki 25 4 stroke on my 1966 13 whaler. It fired right up immediately.. the hoist saved my back too. Now I’m waiting on my hydrollic steering kit to come in ..
@@StoneBrokeAdventureI have cable steering , but the cable rod will end up hitting the transom. Made a bracket to extend out and put a tilt tube in it , but I moves around too much so I ordered a hydraulic steering kit. I need warmer weather to test the boat out throughly. Supposed to be in the 40s here in central Florida.. I also had the same issue with the over sized wiring harness. I got a plastic ammo can from harbor freight and tucked it inside I’m gonna do the same with the hydrollic steering hose. They supply 24 feet of the hose
@@Whalermansteve84 let me know how that hydraulic steering fits. I put so many hours debating long shaft with transom jackplate or short shaft and some type of modified steering
I have the same hoist , I just used it last weekend to remove an old 200 Suzuki off a beat up old bow rider. Now I have to figure out what to do with the motor lol
yes i used 2 stainless steel washers on the top bolts nothing on the bottom bolts the angle works out that way and the insides of mounts on the motor are flush with the brackets
Your ceiling joists are earning their keep. Looks good; sounds great.
that trolly lift system was a life saver. it would have been a struggle without it.
Nice work, seeing it in person is always the best.
thanks buddy
Such a fun project, looks great, would love a simple boat like that!

Hello sir which 30 Hp suzuki did you use? Thanks you
Where did you order the motor from?
Was wondering if there was a specific reason you picked the Suzuki 30 over the Tohatsu 30? The Tohatsuclaums a pound lighter
was wanting a yamaha but price was the main factor. my friend has a suzuki and loves it
Did you end up shimming the motor? I'm looking to use your same setup on a '68 13 Sport

Should’ve got a 15” shaft 25hp
no no no if you use a 15 shaft the telflex steering smashes into the curve of the transom. no good
@@StoneBrokeAdventureThats why you use a standoff bracket for the cable
@cutsilver3650 i'm curious why you recommend the 15'' 25hp. I'm repowering a '69 BW 13 and am on the fence on raising the transom.
