If you want to access the "regenerative break mode" in a faster way. Just pop the car in drive and then push the leaver to the side so it sits in its 'B-mode" .... you'r welcome
…and another way for quick access is to program the 1-8 buttons. Just navigate where you want to go in the menues and hold down one of the 1-8 buttons for a few seconds, and there you have programmed it. By gently touching the buttons without pressing, the display will show you what function each button has :) This function has been in BMW’s at least 15 years now.
The fastest way to increase regenerative braking... is to press the brakes! This is a not Tesla where the engineers couldn't figure out how to safely combine regenerative and mechanical braking. This is an actual car manufacturer that already needed to figure this out for hybrid cars. If you want full regenerative braking.... just press the brakes. No need to fiddle with regeneration settings. That's only a preference for if you want one pedal driving. It is not needed to maximize regeneration.
Why do you need servicing that frequently? I thought all the bed-wetters were touting that all EV's will never have the same costs of ICE when servicing? BTW, we pick up our iX3 next week, new facelift spec but will be keeping the Santa Fe for long trips and the rear passenger seating is far far better.
Range becomes an issue with any EV especially when you tow something and go up hill. Would be interesting to see some sort of study between these new EVs and how this effects them. Saw a few reviews on EV towing and it was disappointing. Great review as always. Cheers.
Many of you have probably never played Apex Legends, but this guy is the spitting image of Fuse! At 10:12 he even does a Mad Maggie line, best mates turned nemesis. Funny coincidence...
Questions - Does the iX3 come with the all wheel drive system? Also what’s the pick up like and 0-100? I am assuming around 7 seconds? Is the iX3 worth spend more than the M40i? For some reason I feel the X3 is a winner when comparing.
With the batteries under the floor and the electric motor at the back, what's under the bonnet? Is there frunk space? Also have to say the soccer balls in the boot are really hard to relate to real-world space. Would be happy to see that test go.
No cargo space under the bonnet although you can buy an aftermarket plastic frunk. I don’t really need that space AND do not want to get any additional noise from cables rolling around. The storage under the floor in the back is enough for a couple of cables (one with a charger) and U don’t hear a thing
Kudos for a great review and especially including baby seats , giving an idea of how 3 people will fit .Love all the details of the video. Can you also please include how low the front/ rear windows go down.
@@preetmohantuli1795 BMW usually (always?) has a rear window that goes all the way down, while for example Audi's rear window only partially goes down since it is designed so that it hits the wheel well. The BMW iX is the first BMW I have seen where the rear window does not go all the way down.

Geee ponch. Just because there is no transmission, you still need somewhere for the exhaust to go!!!! Every good electric car still needs a transmission tunnel for the exhaust. Free feet warmer too.
Price is actually ok, when you the equipment into consideration 👍 The price is the same as Tesla Y in Denmark so here it is a no brainer and the iX3 is already ordered. Btw. You forgot the mention that Adaptiv suspension is standard and that instead of the blue parts you can option the frozen grey.
LOL Nearly double the price of a Tesla Model 3. BMW once again loses the plot, good luck with that. Oh and that's the same gauge cluster screen as MG uses in the HS PHEV and ZS EV.
Lol, a Tesla feels like a cheap toycar after you drove a bmw. It is nowhere near in build quality and design. And as 16Cylinder stated the model3 is a different size car.

Looks great for a modern bmw and well specified from factory without needing a heap of costly options - great review 🤘👍

Great review as always. Cheers.
FYI- The re gen braking can be adjusted much easier by pushing the gear lever to the side (on the fly while driving)
Thanks for the comprehensive review. One suggestion, ditch the soccer ball and use toilet paper stacking in the boot for measurement!
We’re happy with the balls - and our American colleague Tom Voelk might object to someone pinching his toilet paper metric!
@@chasingcars Fair enough, anything will give a better representation than an empty boot!

I have a pre face lift one (supposedly a tad slower). Last night I beat a new M2 off the lights. You won’t be lacking😜

only rear wheel drive and 6.8 from 0-100. It's not best at anything but great all around car. Well balanced.

Love your video reviews. Very comprehensive. I'm warming to this iX3.
Great review as always. Love your work Nathan
I've got the first ix3 in the same black and I love it
What colour is this? Thanks
Will you guys also be reviewing the new X3 M?

Enjoyed your review as always but iX3 way too expensive for what it is. Chinese brands such as BYD, Ora and Zeekr will offer way better value.
Same price as the Tesla Y which is not even close in quality...you really want to spend such money on an unknown chinese car like BYD etc
