Seriously, you guys are really great teachers I’m a detailer and I’ve learned a lot from just watching you because I believe that there’s always something new that we all can learn and you guys do a great fantastic job and I love that Range Rover
I have been impressed with every DIY/C6 product I have tried so far! I have used 4 different bottles of ceramic products at this point and the most current bottle of hydro glass that I got came in a new style glass bottle with a new style dropper and I must say its an improvement and I really like it!
The timing on this series was impeccable. I just finished doing all of this on my 20 year old 4Runner. Years of abuse like thick mud (embedded with rocks) blasted off with my pressure washer (doh!), chasing rally cars down stage, wheeling, forest fires depositing ash, and just totally abusing the paint. Today, with the 8 year ceramic applied, the truck looks better than ever... yeah, there are still a few marks, but I didn't go at it with a wool pad like I should. I need to have some stories to tell! I started by mostly removing my roof rack. The roof hadn't seen any sort of mechanical wash in years, so it was FILTHY. The roof alone was a 4 hour job. Foam, rinse, foam, mechanical wash, rinse, mechanical wash on what I had missed, iron remover, rinse, water spot remover, rinse, dry, polish, panel prep and ceramic. It was filthy. I was able to do all of the rest of the rig today Only real tough part for me is the Old Man Tan paint (Gold!!) makes it so you can see a thing as you're working. It turned out fine though! Ivan, I'm glad we got to see a little bit of the tire dressing at the end. I know a lot of us big tire guys have trouble with applying a dressing deep into the sidewall lugs without making a mess and hugely over-applying the dressing. Care to touch on that a bit more in the future?
Hi Sylvie I see you waving and your lovely smile👍. Even though Sylvie you might be Camera shy when it comes to to speaking. Just know we viewers love you Yvan has told us you are a better polisher than he is🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I've washed and decontaminated my vehicle, but due to time constraints, i won't be able to polish until next weekend. The vehicle will be kept inside a garage until then. Can rinseless be sprayed on and wiped off to remove any dust that may get on the vehicle?
I'm curious which color pickup tube do you use inside your IK Foam Pro 12 that Yvan is always using to foam on All-Clean? Gray, green or orange? & How long will All-Clean last in the pump sprayer if it's not all used up.
I’ve got my full suite of DIY product, including my 3yr and 5yr. I have a black 4 door f-150 - so same size as the blue raptor you recently used in some content. If I wanted to split the entire end-to-end process up - from dirty, to coated - into 3-4 “sessions”, how would y’all recommend I split it up?
If you had used the DIY Trim Restore and Protect on the bottom panels, can you then apply ceramic coating to the panels, and how long does the Trim Restore need to cure before you can apply the ceramic coating?
Last year I bought your 5 year coating for my vehicles. I applied in the spring, and going strong. Very happy with it. Our parents just bought a new Cadillac last fall. Was going to apply the 3 year coating for them as they will only do automated or touchless car washes with it and let it air dry. I thought the graphene would be the best bet. However during the summer they stay pretty much the entire time on a very wooded camp ground more so the more I am thinking that maybe I should do the stack? What would the benefits be of either the 5 or 8 year stack? I of course will try and do a decon wash a couple times a year when I can. What would you recommend?
For levelling towels, does it matter the GSM and towel make up, i was going to use an 80/20 blended kirkland towel for my initial level and then a 450 gsm twisted loop 70/30 for the insurance wipe. That way if the initial level towel loses its absorbancy it doesnt feel like a big loss compared to my more expensive "rag company wolf towels" (i really love those towels)
If applied properly, how many MICRONS thick is your five-year ceramic coating? If I want to apply multiple coats of the same product, what is the suggested wait time between coatings?
How come you're applying the ceramic coating in a circular motion where as every other detailer i've seen on RUclips applys it in a cross hair pattern?
You mention APP being a great deep cleaner. So when coating a new vehicle from the dealership. Would C6 APP remove any waxes or sealants the dealer may apply? Or am I better off to do a couple passes of Gold standard first?
@diydetailofficial so to clarify on Vavs question, we'd need one or two passes with GS polish & the red jeweling pad & then, after cleaning the red jeweling pad, one pass with APP & jeweling pad before wiping & then coating, in his example?
You mention to dry it as soon as possible. I see Nick going "immediately" behind Yvan. Does it dry that fast? I ask only because I used your panel Prep a couple times, but I did it as one panel and then go behind and wipe it dry. I certainly didn't go right behind it. I sure hope I didn't waste my time.
Why don’t you guys wear a mask for protection? I’ve used your graphene 3 years coating and it smells like hell. So I think it’s not that healthy… looking forward to your reply
Hi Guys, My order came in and there two different spray nozzles. Does it matter which one goes with what product? DT-38863 order number. Thanks for all the help.
Awesome series. I definitely feel your last few videos have been the best you've created over the years.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them.

Thanks, eliminating every scratch is actually doing more damage, so good on you for having resisted the urge.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Aye Nick that towl flip was slick, bro! 1:14
Thank you.
I like the bloopers at the end. Those are always fun. What's your main software used for editing?
Final Cut Pro

Joined the IDA, took the exams and crushed it. Waiting to get that final email but ya I'm just pumped and wanted to share :)
Congratulations, that’s great to hear!
Let's go. Ready for another awesome video. 💯💪
Glad you’re here!
Do you have a video for ceramic coating a textured surface (i.e., aluminum tonneau cover)?

Nice bonus appearance from Sylvie in the reflection! You guys have an awesome team!
Thanks!

Yes
I’d love to see you guys make a video on washing a vinyl wrapped car. Any suggestions on what wash method you’d use?
No different than what we do on paint.
Great transformation guys!
Thanks!

The one it came with from the factory. If diluted with distilled water, months

Do sections from start to finish

Give it a day, in reality no need as DIY Detail Plastic Restore & Protect is a coating
Would like to see the owners reaction to your hard work.
Good idea
Good job guys 👌👌
Thank you.

The 8/3 stack will give the best value and durability under those situations.

I prefer a thin pearl weave, but yes, a low nap towel is great
If applied properly, how many MICRONS thick is your five-year ceramic coating?
If I want to apply multiple coats of the same product, what is the suggested wait time between coatings?
1-2 microns, no need nor benefit for multiple coats. If you do wait 2-6 hours
Can 1 bottle do an entire Ford Expedition max?
Yes
Does the panel prep take away the scratches?
No
Can your ceramic coatings be applied to a vehicle with PPF? My truck is wrapped in XPEL Stealth, could I ceramic coat it with C6?
Yes
How come you're applying the ceramic coating in a circular motion where as every other detailer i've seen on RUclips applys it in a cross hair pattern?
A few reasons, more even coverage, less chance of high spots, easier on your arm and shoulder, it’s faster, and you ultimately get better results.
What were the conditions in the shop? Seemed to flash immediately almost
Very humid
Great video! Where do I get a DIY Detail sticker?
They will be available soon
Can you reuse the microfiber cloths after use?
Yes, once finished soak in your wash bucket
@diydetailofficial thank you
I have your 3 year graphene coating got it a year and a half ago. Haven't opened at room temperature.. what is the shelf life is it still ok to use!!
Use it asap
You mention APP being a great deep cleaner. So when coating a new vehicle from the dealership. Would C6 APP remove any waxes or sealants the dealer may apply? Or am I better off to do a couple passes of Gold standard first?
C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) isn’t enough
Thank you!

It looks like there is still mud on the tube rail below passenger side door
Must be chipped paint and or rust. The vehicle looks great
Rust, and there was cloth tape wrapped around it.
It’s best to remove it before it dries.
Great video thanks for sharing 😊
Glad you enjoyed it.
When does DIY make their own foamer?
Not planning yet
@ it’d be cooler if you did
I see what you did there with that stick figure meme
Thank you.
First and ready
Thank you.
15:52 Hi Sylvie!
Hello
Hi
Hello
Nick needs a bigger smile while leveling lol
lol
Interesting choice in not using APP.
We like to feature different approaches.
Why don’t you guys wear a mask for protection? I’ve used your graphene 3 years coating and it smells like hell. So I think it’s not that healthy… looking forward to your reply
It’s an odour, but nothing to worry about.
Really, the oils will redeposit. Cmon man.
They do
I want a sticker lol

Makes no difference
@ thanks. 🙏🏻
