HOW TO REMOVE THE GAS TANK ON MY 1977 CHEVOLET C10 TRUCK

I have to remove the gas tank to make room for the new inner rocker and cab corner panels. There are a couple of ways to do this and i attempt both.

You don’t have to, mine already needed to come off. Certainly made it easier though!

If you havnt thought about it i would suggest replaceing the lines that run from the sending unti over the frame that are somewhat notorious for collasping. If you can i would replace as much of it with steel/stainless steel line and use as little rubber there.

Winnipeg Car Life trucks of that vintage had disappointing fuel mileage, so they needed lots of capacity to make up for that.
