Great review! Will yall be doing a review of the Kiwi Labs Spiked? I'm interested in that paddle as it appears to be doing something different from the standard paddles now a days.
So is the spin coming from a spray on surface? And you said the warranty covers this surface so they don't expect it to loose its spin abilities, and if it does you can get a new one? Is that right?
What ball do you like on a gym surface (e.g. wood)? Franklin x40 outdoor seem to skid and not have any friction, but most indoor balls have drastically different bounce and rigidity. What grips the surface but feels/bounces like a Franklin x40?
Was looking forward to this review. It’s too bad they been sold out now for the past two weeks. Were you able to test out the B type control paddle too? That purple fusion one looks sick.
They are labeled as sold out because they haven't done their official release yet. I have played with the type B. It's got power similar to the Ronbus Nova series and has great spin. These 2 paddles play way different than raw carbon fiber does
@@FarmerLankyPickleballahh okay. I already have the Nova R1, would there be any benefit to getting the type B? Also I don’t see anything about a release date, do you have any info on when we can purchase them?
Oh wow! That is a price hike... There are a lot of great options for a lot less. They originally gave me a code to keep the paddles lower so I could actually recommend them. Now it's getting up there with selkirk and I can't support the price increase
@FarmerLankyPickleball What is your main paddle? And what don't you like about the series 1? There's like no reviews for these anywhere so any Intel is really appreciated
Hey, I’m relatively new to the sport, been playing about a year. I play a lot at The Landing. I generally play with the pink Proton Series One that you donated. I’d like to purchase one however, they’re out of stock. I was wondering if you had an extra one of these you’d be willing to sell me.
You don't say whether you're using the elongated or the square version. You say the swingweight is 115 but is that for elongated or the square version?
"When I play with the Black Ace, I hate everything about pickleball and my life."
LMAO!!
good video and thanks. Do you know why the paddles were 180 at time of your video and now they are 280?
They added pine tar
Always delivering the only way you can! Appreciate what you do!
2:11 LOL (had to come back to this after proton restocked their paddles today)

I will definitely be reaching out and asking about it lol.

No. It feels rubberish. They told me it's bonded to the paddle face so it shouldn't wear off like other but if something happens they'll replace it
A very good review. What exactly Andrei D is using including the shape? thanks
Good review.. you should review the Ethos paddle.. I have seen a ton on my courts as of late. Very interesting shape.
I'll reach out to them!! Thank you for letting me know!

Another great review, thank you! Is this 11mm paddle in addition to the two 15mm paddles shown on their site?

Whats the difference between the 15mm version of this paddle?
Price went up on the Proton paddles. $250 with the discount
Saw that too. They were restocked at $220 and I was going to get one, went to order and saw $280 before the discount…nope

Dose their Handel have life time warenty? I am guessing I'll break the Handel befor the paddel
They jacked up the price because Andrei won some tournaments. Sleazy company. So many great paddles out there for half the price.
I called Proton and they told me Daescu plays with the 11mm polypro core and not the Nomex.
Hey bro, how has this paddle held up for you?
It's not my main paddle so I don't play with it often enough to give a definitive answer tbh

@FarmerLankyPickleball Currently what is your main paddle? 🙂
On the website i only see a 15mm power option and a 15mm control option?

Is the coating on this similar to the Diadem ICON's polyurethane coating?
I thought the Nomex core was less poppy than the polypropylene
Did you measure the swing weight for these?
Yeah, this one is 115 and the 15mm control paddle is 125
I'm interested in trying this brand's paddles, but they've priced themselves out of my price range for paddles... Get it back
Daescu uses a type A, 11mm paddle..........he states that in his interview with JohnKew
And then they raised their prices higher than anyone but Selkirk Labs
Those pastel colors cost money bro..
🤣🤣@@backbonz
Too bad they look the way they do.
Too funky looking.
