  • As part of my 2022 'Grand Tour' of Europe, I spent 8 days cycling from the Mediterranean to the Alps following the excellent ViaRhôna cycle route (EuroVelo 17) in France (and a tiny bit of Switzerland near Geneva). These are the final few kilometres of the route to Saint-Gingolph on the border with Switzerland on the southern side of Lac Léman (Lake Geneva). For many it is the start of their journey south but for me it was the end, although I still had to cycle to Andermatt and then complete my loop by returning to Rotterdam following the Rhine (EuroVelo 15).

Films and podcasts of the trip are available to stream via RUclips (all the links at CyclingEurope.org).
The book will be published in early 2024.
