- Hi all,
This is completely out of the ordinary for me!
I was inspired by Zoe Sugg, who recently went above & beyond to create a video which was so informative around her smear test! I was blown away by this and although I myself didn't need any motivation/reassurance to book my smear; it is my hope that I can provide that to someone else.
This is a difficult topic, but I hope that if my daughter ever needed information like this; that she could find it one day

I hope for anyone who hasn't yet had a smear this will help you to go and get it done. As Aimée mentioned it is so quick and could save your life!
Really useful and informative video Aimée 💕
I’ve got mine tomorrow and I’m so nervous . I’ve had a coil before and I know that it’s kind of similar . My husband is coming with me but I’m still so so scared !
Thanks for filming it for us, very brave and it does help .
Epileptic Emily sending calming thoughts 💚 xx
I am gonna be 🤮🤮 with fear and anxiety. 🤮🤮
Wish the NHS would offer sedation for women like me who has painful conditions.
I can't have anymore as the pain was too much due to my conditions and they wont offer sedation, so sadly there is nothing I can do about it until the NHS wake up and realise that not every woman refuses because of vanity, some refuse due to real gynae painful conditions, plus fear and anxiety.
Plus my practice is a miserable cow.
Embarrassing part of pap smear putting fingers in side vagina area before and after pap smear is done. Pelvic exams are not useful screening for healthy woman especially sexual abuse women. They are not effective way to diagnose ovarian cancer, STD, HPV. They are so anxiety and inducting or painful that they can even cause healthy woman to avoid medical care altogether.
Live in UK nurse or doctor will not do them. In UK with abnormal cells and HPV on cervix they will skip coloscopy give you leep procedure so hospital can make more money doing them. 1 in 4 women age 30 to 45 will have STD, HPV on cervix.
Could you do a video on an intro book for adoption and what to include for the child to look at? Great videos by the way! And well done for raising awareness 😌
Hi Jade, thanks for the comment! We didn't do a book as little one was too young. We made a video which is here on my channel and we also bought a transition butterfly.
Have u had your results hun xx been waiting for my result for about 2 weeks now x
Hiya,
No, I still haven't had them a month later. I know the waiting lists can be so different in each area and am hoping that no news is good news!
Something to add from my experience: you can opt to have a chaperone with you and the doctor will lock the door so no one can walk in during the test.
Thank you for sharing this video - such an important topic to raise awareness of!
It is scary at first and felt like I was going to cry. But the more I learnt the less scary it was. I was 24 a few months before I turned 25 when I had my first one it was uncomfortable and I relax as I could I just went anxious when it felt very unpleasant
Please don’t miss a smear test, it’s so quick and could honestly save your life. I delayed my smear by a year, I kept putting it off, when I finally booked to have it done they found abnormal cells, I was so annoyed with myself for delaying my smear. I had the abnormal cells removed, which was a very quick process! If anything is abnormal it’s so easy to treat, as long as is caught early! So don’t miss your smear!! X
Obviously you don't have Lichen Schlerosus or Vaginmismus otherwise you would be saying the total opposite.
So I will tell you why I refuse them now, it is excruiating, it just always bursts my lichen Schlerosus scars and tears them open and bleeds.
My vaginmismus makes it impossible for anything to gi in as it closes up tight.
So not every women is healthy and painfree downstairs.
Some have serious chronic gynae conditions which makes it excruiating and impossible and the bloody NHS wont offer sedation.
You are lucky, but think why some women refuse, it is not always about vanity.
