Letter carriers is a crucial part of the community but most time the community don’t care about us carriers we get robbed on the streets our mail trucks being broken into hot summers days no one offers a cold drinks etc work thru all of Covid and we still get disrespected…R.I.P..PAUL

It's a crying shame that some people don't care about us, every time I deliver to a box that have a sticker that say we love our mail carrier in the back of my mind I'm questioning do you really RIP Paul, seem like To me this is common that we die or get killed just before we retire, I'm praying 🙏 that I can make it out alive.

Having to work at 69 is the real crime.
But when ppl retire they often die soon after. Work gives meaning
USPS is a federal union career position not a general job, with scheduled yearly raises and a pension with a 401k called tsp.
People make high wages through overtime and tenure. Also, people have to like physical labor and stress to succeed in this type of career.
