Hey Jerry! Thank you for giving Judit's age in your introduction. I have seen a good many of her amzing chess videos only to be futher blown away by finding out later she was 11, or 13 or 15 yrs old. Just like Fisher's "Game of the Century" being even more amazing as he was 13. She is among my top 5 favorite players of all time. Please do a series or a saga on her.
you were the first chess channel i subscribed to, this was 15-16 years ago when i first got interested in chess. Meanwhile, lots of other channels have captured my attention, some come some go, but ChessNetwork always stayed :) there is no other channel that is as pleasant and as instructive as yours (with a big emphasis on the "instructive" part!). So, a big and nostalgic Thank You!!
I'm similar. Jerry taught me chess 12 years ago when I was a total beginner. 12 years later, I'm rated 2100 FIDE, and I'm still learning every time I watch his channel. Amazing.
@chessnetwork I've been loving it! Naroditzky upload days used to be my favorite, but you've pulled out ahead of him with this consistent high-quality analysis.
The queenn sac and mating motif were very familier, spotting the possibility four or five moves earlier requires the kins of attacking brilliance ofte shown by Polgar. Thanks Jerry.
That queen sack is a total moment of zen. Even when you said “it’s a mate in 3” it took me a while to find it. I would have never found that. Note to self: calculate the same way I play… look for checks first. Okay, got a queen check with a forced move, then got a bishop check….” Put that way it should be easy to find but still I wouldn’t find it. 😂
Plus, to calculate that AFTER the earlier sack of a pawn and a minor piece… amazing. I’d never trust giving up that much material for a big attack. Or whenever I do it never works out! 😂
The Polgars and Kasparov where a huge inspiration for me at that time. It was Zusan of course. Needless to say I could never master the phase after 4:36 and of course I missed the Queen check at the end. I think I need another hobby. Anyway, thanks for uploading some of Judith's work Women in general are not that great at chess. Judith is something special.
Wow, a 12 year old Judit played such an aggressive game with 96% accuracy and only 1 inaccuracy while Always having the better position. Also loved the Queen sac finish. It's one of those games that you wish you could have played. Wild attacking chess, throwing pawns forward without a care until beautiful queen sac being down a whole piece. And then finding out you made no mistakes basically on top.
Love Judit Polgar games! While I'll always be a fan of the slow squeeze positional style, it is great to watch the tactical aggressive attackers, like currently with Pragg (his games are fun to watch, Norway Chess fighter)
When I thought you could not get any better, but you did! Imagine what you could do if you were teaching math or programming. Jerry, you are a teacher par excellence.
Look at that end position with those two saps sitting on c8 and a8. The earlier comment about needing to get the move d5 in should be considered the real turning point of this game.
Amazing game because apparently the entire opening is unsound for black according to Stockfish. 7...cxd4 is a bit better than 7...Nxd4 but all lines are favorable for white. Played before PCs were strong so hats off to the players, although Polgar's 9. e5 is inferior to 9. Bf4.
Judit has said many times that her openings are the worst part of the game for her, and that she has to do a lot of work in the middle game to make up for it. All that much more impressive that she entered the Top 10, with such struggles in the opening!
Jerry: what rook to lift Me: the A one, it's just useless while the F rook keeps your king safe. Jerry: the A one, to avoid tactics with the rook undefended in case of lifting. Me: I was right for a different reason I guess 😂
Funny how quite a few times now I've seen ASMR Chess upload a game, then within a week or two (okay, fine, sometimes several weeks) Jerry uploads the same game. :)
Polgar still hold every record in women chess...only women top10 amongst men...highest point ever 2680 or so....women world ranking leader 20+ years without break...olympic champion etc
10 ...Bxe5 11 Bxe7 and how does black take back in a way that won't suffer some kind of pin on the e-file? (Eg 11... Qxe7 12 f4 and if the bishop retreats to g7 then Re1)
Playing the Sicilian against Judit is like reaching into an industrial meat grinder with your bare hands.
Topalov is disagree with you

he has posted like 5 videos of judit in the past month or so. something is going on. maybe jerry stumbled upon a book of judit's games ^^
She’s a 1976 baby. I tend to draw attention to the age of players if still a teenager or younger.

All the bishop philosophy majors have written in their journals today:
“I exist, but do I really live?”
very existential comment, I noticed it too :-)
I felt a bit called out given how my life has gone this past year
You have been uploading so much recently!
Trying to stick with an every other day schedule. Thanks for watching. 👍
@chessnetwork I've been loving it! Naroditzky upload days used to be my favorite, but you've pulled out ahead of him with this consistent high-quality analysis.
Great choice and nicely explained. Thank you very much, Jerry.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it KB. 😎
Thank you for the great content! It looks like I missed lots of videos last month! Let's watch them all!
Thank you 👍
that queen sac was beautiful, didn't even see it coming
Jerry has been in love with Polgar recently 😂
We are all in love with Judit :)
She is worth to love.
Thank god, me too
Thanks
I love Judit's games. They are always so cool.
Caught a video in the first minute! Love your videos Jerry
Thank you 👍
What was Polgar's rating at that time ( being just 12 years old) ?
@@georgehav650 2332 at the end of 1988 according to Chessmetrics
I'm a simple man:I see a Jerry video, I press like
But don't watch ?
My thoughts exactly
@@CriminaIlyInsane What are you talking about?
Same here!
I like that you like. 😎
You are the best! Thanks for sharing.
Another beautiful game from a great.
why wouldnt the queen go to c5 instead of b5 at 2:58 ? But as a very beginner this was the most enjoyable understandable chess video ive seen so far

Your analysis helped me win with tactics in a chess ♟️ game tonight 6/14/24 ; thanks 🎉… ❤😅 Please keep up the good work 👍🙌
Great! Keep it up 👍
Eyyyyyy, looks like you started putting the PGNs again. Thank you so much, Jerry! Appreciate it, now I can study this game in detail if need be ❤️
👍
Beautiful game! Very instructive!
Fifty-something who hopes to one day be as badass as a 12-year-old Judit Polgar.

I was almost surprised by the upload lol
11th day of asking Jerry to cover the Sack of Rome game by Sofia Polgar but Judit's games are fine too
Jerry:Gifted and practical without losing perspective.
I was lucky enough to meet Judit at the Magistral Najdorf in Buenos Aires 2000. I have seen her play and she is more incredible than she looks!!
Loved the finish, did not see it coming with those rooks lined up in the home row
😎👍

Tal & Judit are the fun ones :)
Thx Jerry 😊

I see a Judit Polgar video, I go to it like a moth to a flame 🔥
When tactics work out so that a knight attacks 3 pieces, we really should've called it a "trident" and not a "fork." What a missed opportunity.
What a game. Thanks.
Good video
If I ever get to sacrifice my Queen for mate, I will have exceeded my potential in chess. That and a smothered mate
Well played indeed
Thank you jerry ❤❤❤
And thank you for watching. 👍
U suggested a onpasont move if they use it will change all
12:45 I came up with 17.Re4 and I've never felt so tricked by Jerry...! 😅
Forcing moves first! 😎
That looked really good.
Genius of Judit Polgar.
I am so proud to have seen the Queen sac, but I bet Judit saw it on move 5. Levels ...
Polgar is a beast over the board ❤

as i always said, Jerry is the best chess commentator!

Bf6 is killer at end
pavlina was in shambles after the opening
Judit was a monster.
Always develop
Love this
Sweet bishop, too
Definitely learned something new from the rook idea. Thanks!
I saw the queen sac! :D
I Love Judit Polgar!
Judit was a genius!
Because it is a short game, I think it would be better to just let it play out and then give the analysis.
Imagine, to play like this at 12 years old.
In retrospect, the level of effort required often leaves you missing your childhood 🤔
THATS THE NASTY ONE !
Hi Jerry.
Great Finnish, Wow!!!
Forceful indeed! Such a pretty finish.
Agreed! 👍
Judith scias Esperanton
I ❤Judit !!!
👍
This stuff is mind boggling lol
It is not enough to exist. We must live up to our potential, to live fully. The rest is a sideline distraction.
Hi Everyone - neun und neunzig luftballons seconds after the video premiere :)
Why can’t black take on move 10?
10 ...Bxe5 11 Bxe7 and how does black take back in a way that won't suffer some kind of pin on the e-file? (Eg 11... Qxe7 12 f4 and if the bishop retreats to g7 then Re1)

Another Rossolimo.....the Schevnikov is sharper... WHO said it???
Even at 2 x play-back speed this is too slow

Did she ever beat Magnuisance ?
There was a casual park game where she won the white side of a Sicilian. It was a few years back I think.
