I still hope they will bring Matt Ryan as Constantine back, because I think it would be very Incredibly stupid of them if they do not return the show back. This show is Awesome and Matt Ryan is Brilliant❤❤❤ #SaveConstantine
aneta365 they are bringing him back for the animated show on CW seed, it will be 10 minute episodes....😖.... I really wanted a live action season 2, I don't mind if they cancel arrow or Supergirl. I just want CONSTANTINE back .
If only this show had gone on and done the inevitable and crossed over with Supernatural. The interactions between Castiel and Manny would've been downright epic.
a fallen angel with a black heart. a beautiful literal depiction of the Heart of Darkness. yet hers is not only filled with evil, hate, & anger, even still obtain both very crudely versions of love;"dark love & forbidden love" within it. her love to hurt & mame others & her love to watch others (both natural & even supernatural) suffer. such an awesome way to see her black heart speak as she is speaking to manny being set free.
maim* and spoiler alert, there's a scene where the fallen angel turns from white to black before this and rises like this. u know where to find that scene?
I wonder if (spoilers) this is where Manny was corrupted. If he was sincerely benevolent at the start, but this moment, where he both violated non-interference in the largest possible way while touching pure, literal evil, corrupted him and at that point he went off and co-opted the Brujeria. Would have been more interesting than him having been ebil from the beginning, at least to me.
I don't think so. The Rising Darkness was happening before Manny killed Imogen. EDIT: Angels can turn evil too. Imogen said she killed a human, "just to see how easy it would be". They have flaws and are susceptible to falling down to hell, just like humans.
Well they were written by the same guy after all. The whole angel-demon hybrid concept was first introduced in Hellbazer and then fleshed out on Preacher.
Well Astra is out already, so it's just gonna be legends facing Manny. Which is still a great plot and a good possibility but I don't think so they would do the whole hell thingy anytime soon. So let's see. May be calling for archangel Gabriel is the closest we get to angels rn.
I love how John somehow always makes the people around him do want he needs at that moment regardless of what they want to do. In some ways he is a God.
I think Manny was already the main villain from the start, like he could have just left but I'm thinking he couldn't because of that spell John had up for evil beings
So angels have blood, body organs, and, like humans, they could die... mmm... Do they have soul and a spirit? What they eat?...mmm... interesting scene...
Angels in their true form are celestial spiritual energy. They can change their Heavenly form at will, and take on a mortal form made of flesh and blood. In that form they have blood, organs and are made mortal. Meaning that they can die. Angels have no souls.
Let me get this straight: Imogen took a mortal female body in this episode? Is that so, the corpse on the barn floor should be totally different from Imogen because Imogen the angel took it beforehand. Right? So Manny killed both Imogen and the possessed female mortal knowing it. Right? And the beating heart - what it is? Imogen's spirit or the female soul trapped in it? (Don't get me wrong - it's still interesting but confusing)
Not sure exactly. There are many angel tropes in the lore. But Heaven and Hell are spiritual, places of energy, and not flesh. So I would expect that angels in their true form are made up of energy and not flesh. But change their spiritual energy to flesh if desired when they come to Earth. That or take a vessel as Manny does every time he jumps into a body. Who the corpse is on the floor I'm not sure, I don't think that they touched on that aspect too much in the episode. But I remember earlier in the episode Constantine said something to the fact that angels do not exist on our plane of existence, which is why Zedd couldn't see Manny, he was in his spirit form. Imogen however, having had her feather pulled was no longer spirit, but flesh. Which is why Zedd could see her.
I know that any fictional story (including science fiction), comes as the author brings his/her vision of it, and because it's fiction, we have to accept it as it is. But as a fan and a viewer, I realized this: IMO, and trying to keep an open-mind, this scene (and others too) doesn't make sense. Think about it - of course it's interesting, but full of illogical reasoning. Maybe they want to create expectation with this, or a satisfying explanation will come later, who knows? Mmm... Don't get me wrong - I love the show, although it's confusing... sometimes...
Hahaha... well don't try an take the show too seriously. It's fantasy, entertainment and there are many, many takes on angels and their lore. Too many to try to really make sense of.
In Episode 6 he says to John after he scares him by appearing i use to have a trumpet and all back in the day! And only Gabriel had the Trumpet. I'm betting his Gabriel and bad !! He isn't lucifer
Lucifer doesn't care, he quit to run a club. The 'First of the Fallen' on the hand... Beside, John and Gabriel doesn't get along. Something had to do with him being a privileged asshole. Interesting enough, Gabriel too had his heart ripped out and John even cut his wings off with a Chainsaw.
I know this is an old post but some Tales Gabriel was barred from Heaven and Hell for his actions during the war between the two sides. It could be the reason why Manny was a pseudo playing both sides so the gates that swing up and he can go home truly.
+Božo Krešo Actually no, angels can survive without a heart. Only when the heart is destroyed they truly die. Case in point what John did to Gabriel, (or rather what John had Ellie did to Gabriel.)
Am i the only one who wishes a crossover between Constantine and Lucifer? That could be fun. But since Constantine had an entrance in The Arrow....Hell no! I dont want Lucifer being sullied by the likes of The Arrow
I'd rather see a Supernatural crossover (I know Supernatural isn't DC property so that's unrealistic but still, a guy can dream). That way we can see Constantine chide Castiel for copycatting his look lol.
hans Haperle I searched it up and there is a supernatural comic part of dc universe ( not sure if it's based of the yh show ) . Also I was happy about the crossover as well wished it was longer tho
Now since crisis put lucifer in the same canon as Constantine and in lucifer they made it clear Angela are forbidden to kill another … Also manny himself is also an angel that’s not exactly on the side on good anymore so…. He couldn’t get out either? And wonder what he thinks of his fallen fallen angel
Well, I guess Heaven... won't be missing this Angel.
(CSI: Miami)
YYEAAAAAHH!!!
Shred2K Well, the "Fatality" line was already taken by everyone else in the comments. I thought I'd try something different. Give me a break.

They brought him back for legends of tomorrow but I wish they would have kept his show going
If only this show had gone on and done the inevitable and crossed over with Supernatural. The interactions between Castiel and Manny would've been downright epic.
Legendary
At least until the twist of the shows finale.

Huh, sounds legit, dude. That may actually explain what's going on, or at least a fraction of the situation.
That_Beardie_ Life The story continues on LoT but idk if it’s really following this storyline though. So far it looks like it
I don't think so. The Rising Darkness was happening before Manny killed Imogen.

@@jtvdailynothingz8406 Unfortunatly in a recent Interview Matt Ryan said they will not be continuing Manny's story
Jake C Thanks for confirming it for me I’m really sad about that smh
this whole episode made me think of preacher.
Well they were written by the same guy after all. The whole angel-demon hybrid concept was first introduced in Hellbazer and then fleshed out on Preacher.
Now that manny is revealed to be a rouge angel, and John is shown to know lucifer personally, can we have them go at it?
Well Astra is out already, so it's just gonna be legends facing Manny. Which is still a great plot and a good possibility but I don't think so they would do the whole hell thingy anytime soon. So let's see.

@@bish09 lm just wandering why didn't Astra go after nergal

He is a manipulator not God then☺️
Its called PRAYER...dumbass. And John is full of sins and had many times defeated. Where his close ones die like Astra !
I think Manny was already the main villain from the start, like he could have just left but I'm thinking he couldn't because of that spell John had up for evil beings
Oh I never thought of that
@Innocent Jogger This is accurate
Oh my gosh just watched it and realised John was blinking back tears as Zed was dying. ☹
The first time I watched this episode and Manny killing..even if it was just. I just knew there was something wrong.

Interesting how angels seem to have golden eyes on this show
She's actually alive ( beating heart), but that female is dead.
These are not supernatural angels. They do not have "vessels". That bitch is dead.
