This song is very famous song in South Korea especially for mid-thirties or older. Around 70s to early 90s, this song was used for title song for broadcasting of boxing matches in television. So. for koreans, when they hear this song they recall of the boxing. However, most people doesn't know who composed this song and the real title of the song, which is ridiculous. haha.
In fact, in France even, we have different way and speed to play it... it depends on the troops which will walk on this military march. I have served as staff sergeant for 26 years in french forces (Land army then Gendarmerie), and have often did défilé on this great march. When I was serving in traditional unit (126°RI Brive, 5° RI one of the oldest french units, created in 1494 from the military troops of Navarre (called Navarricum, commanded by the future king Henri the 4th and also by le Chevalier Bayard, the knight without fear nor reproach) ) I was waliking at about 110-120 steps a minute, we played it then slowlier than this, BUT when I was serving in the 16°BCP (Bataillon de Chasseurs), as we were walking at 140-150 steps a minute, we had this speed version...
@@twicethechamps Thanks a lot for your detail onformation. I'm south Korean and 60 years old. When I was little boy, that was played for the signal music before boxing match by MBC(Broadcast company).I was really impressed listening to that music.
