Equinox (John C’s last) Styx II (not a bad song) The Grand Illusion (breakthrough) Styx I (love it, covers and all) Paradise Theater (great at times) Man of Miracles (my intro to Styx) Cyclorama (technically the best) The Mission (see above) Serpent is Rising (5 great songs) Pieces of Eight (pretty good) Crystal Ball (Tommy intro..spotty) Kilroy Was Here (yuk) Cornerstone(yuk II) Don’t really know the others you ranked.
Intersting you have Cornerstone last. I would think most Styx fans would love Lights and Why Me, at the least. I'm going to guess you are into progressive rock with your list leaning that way here! Thanks for watching!
Interesting. You have it #11 and #8, respectively; I think Crystal Ball is their best album ... and I've been a Styx fan for 45 years, so I'm not new to the cookout. And gentlemen ... like it or not, admit it or not ... there is no Styx without Dennis DeYoung.
I was going to point out how one of you missed the greatness of Crystal Ball and the other missed the greatness of Equinox. But, because you guys mentioned Castle Walls and Man in the Wilderness, I won't say anything. :)
You nailed it with #1! I am not familiar with the whole catalog but this was an educational review. Thank you and keep them coming!
Thanks dude! I am learning so much with these videos each week.
