I haven't been to confession for a while. But now I'm convinced I need to go. I'm trying to rededicate my life to Christ. But it ain't an easy road. I've fallen a time or two. But I'm learning how to stand back up. I'm definitely going to take this to heart. Thanks, Fr. Mike.
Went to my first Mass yesterday. I've been trying to pinpoint exactly what I was feeling during Mass. It was a mix of excitement and nervousness-the kind of feeling you get when you're about to meet someone you've always longed to meet but are unsure of how it will go. Then, out of nowhere, as the Eucharist was about to be presented, I started crying and couldn’t stop. The emotion was even more intense than I can describe, but that's the closest I can get to explaining it.
"To Quell the Terror: The True Story of the Carmelite Martyrs of Compiegne" by William Bush is the book about the 16 nuns Fr. Mike is recounting. Excellent read.
At the beginning of this year, one of my adult “children”’was going through a major mental health crisis. He was literally on the verge of suicide -tetering on the brink. He came to me and somehow we stepped far enough away from the darkness to survive this crisis. I was pleading and praying for protection. Also, I only listened to praise music and truly thanked God for this crisis. I proclaimed God’s victory over the evil blanketing my son. My eyes could not convince my heart but my soul trusted that God would turn this to good.
So many great sermons - I watch every week - but none better than this one. I was in tears by the end. Tears of joy. Than you, Father Mike, for being so absolutely real! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Praise God for the word shared by your faithful servant ,revived my soul, I will Praise God in the morning, noon time and when the sun goes down, summer or winter of my life. Lord give me the strength to persist.
Father Mike, Your praise inspires me every week. May God bless you. I could not watch or follow the Olympics after the mockery. I don’t know if that was right or not. I just couldn’t. Praise God! My friends who watched said a lot of athletes wore crosses and praised God for their success. Praise God!
Father Mike's Enthusiasm is so fun and keeps me motivated to listen and go to Mass, just to listen to the message of the day. Thank You Father Mike for being you.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow, this sermon today was so profound to just Praise God first without conditions. Thank you Father for this heartfelt sermon today. It has brought tears to my eyes.
Wow, this homily was excellent and it brought me back to a time when I went to an opera at Indiana University based on this story. It was called Dialogues of the Carmelites and it was so very moving. I highly recommend all to go if given the chance. Thank you Father Mike! God bless you too!
Thank you Father Mike Schmidt. You always give such beautiful homilies! And I truly love 💗 how you explain everything so many can reach a better understanding! You truly are doing what you are called to do! I truly believe that God is with you during mass and that he's speaking through you! 😊 Thank you for all that you do! May God continue to bless you and your family and may he continue to bless Ascension Presents! 🙏 Once again. Thank you 🙏🙌😊
God I praise you even through the wilderness I’m in right now. Forgive me of my sins. I praise you forever and ever amen!!! God give it and God can take it amen
Thank you Fr. Mike! Another homily that has touched my heart and brought me comfort. I am a young widow - my husband died unexpectedly in July of 2022. Sundays are especially difficult days for me. Your homily was inspiring.....yes, the Lord has given and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord. God is still God, I'm clinging to that. Thank you
Once again Father you make me cry. So very beautiful! Your words always go straight to my heart. I love the LOTH. Ugh how I wish you can do Morning and night prayers with us on RUclips. Thank you for all that you do Father. 🙏🏼❤️ you are in our our prayers always
Thank you as always @Father Mike for reminding me to praise God first and without condition, no matter what! May you continuously be granted the grace to guide and lead more people back to God along with your ministry and the people who helps you make it happen!
Hymn: Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise him all creatures here below. Praise him above, ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Thank your Father Mike. This just goes to show me and all of us that all of our scriptures are so full of God's Wisdom, if only we seek it and only if we desire it. This is just more food for our weary souls...
💙 Keep praising the Lord to bring us deliverance and victory in our joy and in our sorror ... 💙 💙 At the risk of seeming "judgemental," I lived in Toulouse for 2 yrs (South of France). I found it to be one of the most unholy & sad places 💙
Lord, I praise and thank you for all your blessings as well as pains, In my pain and suffering, I am reminded that I am only human, All I have are yours Lord, I surrender them to you, knowing you will guide me to use them in praising You. Thank you Lord 🙏
When father says that Job says at the end, "I will praise you more and more", it reminds me of the passage in the book of the minor prophet, Habakkuk, that starts, "... For though the fig tree blossom not..."
Hymn: Holy God, we praise thy name. Lord of all, we bow before thee. All on earth, thy scepter claim. All in heaven above adore thee. Infinite, thy vast domain, everlasting is thy reign.
I do not feel persecuted as a Catholic/Christian at all. I think we need to take pause when having this type of thinking because it separates you from others and brings friction in your life that does not need to be there. God’s love for us is so much more powerful than what other people say and do, and as for myself, I try and and behave as Christ would, and pray for those who may hurt me. “You can catch more bees with honey” is how I try to live in Christ.
How do you think that level of persecution starts Fr. Mike? We must defend our faith and indeed call out all of the persecution regardless of its severity. We cannot afford to be weak any longer.

Beautiful teaching! One day you shall hear our Heavenly Father say to you ..” Well done , thou good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Tell God, the man and the tech, he couldn't provide a filter for us, and still at my doorstep trying to steal my belongings,
And there’s a great song called “Praise “ by Brandon Lake and Elevation Worship!
