Big Cottonwood Canyon/Guardsman Pass West is one of the most difficult road bike climbs in Utah and the US. Not a steep climb, it is its length that will test you up to high altitude. However, there are a few sections of double digit grade near its summit. Certainly one of the top climbs by bike in Utah
