I've been on that ferry. It is a good job the weather was good rather than stormy. Mind you, Newcastle to Esbjerg (Denmark) ferry can be grim in winter. We won't mention Aberdeen to Lerwick (Shetland)...
Back in 2000 the ferry going over to stornoway was the worst and I had my elderly mother with me. This all started by the time we had had breakfast. It sounded as if the cars were bouncing of the floor.
great video thanks for sharing keep up the good work :)
Aw thank you!😊

I've heard that the Aberdeen-Lerwick ferry can be quite rough. Although the ferry back to Ullapool was pretty wild (storm Kathleen)
I think I've got sea sickness...thanks for sharing! 👍👍
Aw, sea sickness can really ruin the ferry trip! 😮
Great video :) I'll be looking to go on that ferry 'voyage' at some point 😎
Thank you😊 Hope you get as lucky with the weather as we did!☀️
@@terrifictraveltales Always prepared for Scottish weather... Everyday I pack for the four seasons ;) Cheers 😎
Haha you never know🤣
Did this trip last month brilliant
Oh cool 😊It's a fantastic trip!
I’ve been on that ferry in winter which took 6 hours it was so rough
6 hours!😮That sounds like a very rough ferry trip
I was on this exact ferry but going Stornoway to Ullapool on the same day or possibly the next
Oh no way, what are the chances of that! How was your ferry trip? Ours on the way back to Ullapool was pretty rough😄
@@terrifictraveltales I felt sooo sick I was outside the whole time 🤢
@@Mr_mark. Aww nooo - sounds like an awful trip😥
Been on 4 different ferries doing this journey over the years.
Oh cool 😊Have the ferries always been smooth sailing for you?
Our ferry back was pretty rough on the way back which was just before a storm

@@johnmacdonald3282 Aww no, sounds like it was a really rough trip. These ferries crossings always seem to feel like never ending, too!
@terrifictraveltales and when you reached Ullapool coming home it was such a sad feeling.
@@johnmacdonald3282 Yea, it's a horrible feeling when arriving in Ullapool, knowing you need to go home
the foods good and fairly cheap onboard
That's good to know. We'll need to try the food on our next CalMac trip 😊
The scariest place to be parked is as the first vehicle on the upper ramp. Don't ask me how I know!
I can imagine 🤣. We were on the upper ramp on the way back, but luckily, not at the very front.
