I was a member of the Houston Grand Opera chorus in the late 1980's when Zajick made her debut there as Amneris in the 2nd cast of Aida with Freni, Domingo and Ghiaurov headlining. She was an unknown artist to me at the time, but she knocked my socks off then and has been doing so ever sense. She's a one in a million talent. Simply irreplaceable!
