Sadly, i don't remember how i did it. I have tried the same method since then, but it doesn't work. I do have another Deception video to release soon (maybe tomorrow?), that i had to use a different method for, because whatever i did to make this one, simply doesn't work anymore. Very sad about it.
@@ShiftyGuy777 Unfortunately, Ed, NRS and WB are more focusing too much on the newer NRS games than all the older MK games. Capcom did a great job to keep re-releasing classic games on PS4 and NRS never did. It seems to me that NRS are too lazy to not a remastered or re-release old MK games.
I think the general dislike of Armageddon and Mk vs DC (which is kinda in between this and current Nrs titles in terms of combos) led to the team making the newer games 2d and using a more streamlined engine
Some of this combos are painful to watch - it's like whoever was supposed to test this fighting engine was busy doing anything, but what he was supposed to do. Stuff, like when animations just stops...it's unbelievable.

I know this video is quite old but here is something interesting to know about Shujinko: On the PlayStation 2 version of Deception, Li Mei's spin kick that Shujinko gets access too has weird properties which magnifies his damage (or at least resets the damage scaling) allowing for massive damage combos with the use of the spinning wheel kick unlike if they were performed on other platforms
armageddon has air combat, wake up attack and parry, but deception dont have, so how come deception gameplay is better than armageddon if deception has less features?
When you sidestep, or jump over them, the opponent has to turn and face you first before they are able to move. It makes the combo true. Some of the throws are a little late in this video, only because it is harder to time them against an ai dummy. New video to be released soon. Lots of new combos. At least 20-30 minutes worth of new stuff.
i appreciate the extra love. Yea, i see a glimmer of hope right now, which makes me feel a lot better, and makes me want to do more combos. Just hopefully it won't die out again. I've just been having trouble dealing with my anxiety for the past few years. Hard to get around it now. Need to focus on getting my own place someday, and ill be a lot happier overall. Can't really go anywhere for now, so its just been tough for me, but im trying to make money from home, so hopefully someday ill have enough to get my own place.
Honestly I missed the MK games when the game mechanics were like this, but since MK9, and MKX came in, it just switched to a freaking scroller type of arena with no fighting styles anymore and no good side games like chess kombat or puzzle kombat...
Gabriel Reina You can still do stylish looking combos, especially with people like triborg, they just aren't as damaging as a 0 death combo is the most op thing any character could have. I recommend someone like kotal khan who can do combos similar to the deception and Armageddon era. (I'm talking about mkx btw)
Im so flad they changed it from this. you couldn't spam uppercuts anymore or do those super long combos. If you played mk before these you'd know that mk9 and mkx went back to the original style of mk games.
Is there a combo list somewhere? Im trying to do a nostalgia run of konquest mode and would like to have some combos down instead of just special moves/uppercut lol. AWESOME video btw. Subbed

I hate when people call any old MK game broken, this game is not broken, it just has cool long juggle combos that you can pull off, they look fun and technical, and besides, people then where not as sweaty as today
it's cool. but it'll take a while to get comfortable learning how to switch between them. they are tough to use. their combos in this video are probably the best of any character.

Did you have an early copy of MK Deception? It seems like every time I try and perform long juggles on a few characters, such as Mileena, there's always a pause which prevents me from continuing the combo. Such as on 7:47 it's literally impossible for me to do that now because there's a long pause after she does her first Sai combo(Square, Square, Triangle).
The pause happens by not holding forward during the combo. Holding forward acts as a buffer to let you attack faster and keep you as close as possible to the opponent. There are combos when you have to press forward at a certain time as well. I believe Mileena's is one of them, but its been a while. Just try holding forward in order to attack faster, for now.
@@CHECK4900 Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I hold forward sometimes and in some cases, it helps, but with Mileena it hardly does and I still end up with a pause unable to continue the combo. Also, her Sai combo sometimes doesn't register during the juggle. Idk it's very tricky or I'm just that bad xd. Btw what characters do you think can easily handle the AI of the game?
Man, I wish there were explanations for how some of these things work. Like, how come some combos seemingly "drop", but are still combos. Can they not block? I can't be certain. Also, I know that throws can't be throw teched, so "meaty throws" are a thing in this game.

But yea, the other part of the combo you were wondering about is an unblockable otg. Same as Darrius. But speaking of Darrius, his sidestep throw after 124cs in the first combo looks escapable in this video, it also looks like i didn't sidestep correctly in the 2nd combo as well. A lot of this has been redone in the newer version, which i should just release already, and has a lot more combos. Love these combos but it looks like some of the wakeups could easily be blocked, still insane you can pull all these off I sure as hell wouldn't be able to, my highest mkx combo is 26 with Raiden corner juggles

there are fighting styles on MKXL. They're just replaced with better working variations.

I'd much prefer to play on my actual ps2 so I could use my old TV, but it's not even my old TV i used to use back then, so it wouldn't be the same. I'm trying to get another old TV that matches the size of the one i used to use back then.
I'm thinking the Dolphin Emulator would be the best idea to play, or through Parsec. Sorry, man. I hope that's not a problem. I'd still be willing to connect using whatever emulator you want. Will be next week.

Love these combos but it looks like some of the wakeups could easily be blocked, still insane you can pull all these off I sure as hell wouldn't be able to, my highest mkx combo is 26 with Raiden corner juggles
