After, you know, a day or so? But the cuteness? The cuteness is a survival adaptation, and it’s why little Doug still gets to live with us hoomans even though he’s ruined our lives. ❤

I have a malamute and she does the exact same damn shit. She will yipe and yipe at me, keep in mind she weighs 100 pounds, she will then proceed to jump on my lap until I give her attention. She is even worse when she’s hungry.

My Corgi, Boo, used to help me in the garden. I'd pull a weed up, hand it to him and he would shake the dirt off it. He was the best dog ever. He lived to be almost 14. He had bladder cancer. I miss him terribly.

They are crazy expensive, the breeders aren't always ethical, and almost all pedigrees are results of some level of inbreeding and causes health issues in many breeds. Having a mutt mixed with the dogs you like most gives you and the dog the best of both worlds. You get the personality and looks of the dogs you like, and the dog gets to live with genetic diversity
