Hi dear doctor Sharon ! Thank you very much for all you do ! I am a nurse from Ukraine , currently in Canada . I finished my study 2006 , almost 20 years ago . June 28 I passed my RN NCLEX exam in Canada , and I passed ! Got result today ! Passed on 85 questions ! And you know , I listened all your videos 2 months prior the exams . So grateful for you ! You put all chaotic old knowledge in my head on correct place and in correct structure . Thank you so much ! Wish you strong health and happiness. I will find a way to tell you thank you , I want to pay something , life teached me , is to be grateful , especially for honest help . Happy Canada Day today ! And happy American Day soon !
Thanks Dr. Sharon!! Taking my nclex soon. I only listen to these videos along with mark K lectures. I feel like this is nursing school and Nclex prepped all in one.
I love working on these questions with my classmate, fiancé and family! I'm currently retaking Fundamentals and my biggest struggle has been application of content to patient situation. I find your approaches to be very helpful and easy to understand. I wish I came across these videos sooner, but I am at least working on improving my progress. Thank you for helping students like me! I have 2 requests: Can you do questions on Infection Prevention/Control? And on Medication Administration? 🙏🏼 Thank you Dr. Sharon!
If they are getting nutrition from EN and PN, and they are getting 75% from EN then it would be common sense to infer they are receiving 25% PN. How could you pick 75% EN without also saying 25% PN is correct?
What is the purpose of checking for residual amount? residual is just the left over food found in the tube during feeding correct? You dont want it to be too much before starting a next feeding cycle b/c of aspiration?
If the tube feedings are supplying 75% of the patient’s nutritional needs, then why discontinue? Seems like the enteral feedings won’t be able to keep up with the nutritional needs.
Maybe, but the fundamentals text says D50. For NCLEX prep I usually follow what fundaments text says. I will check some other sources to see if there is any consistency

Yes
Great information , thank you!

You hang D10 not D50
Stir fry is frying and u said no fried foods for diet and nutrition so why is option 2 with stirfry the correct answer to the question?
Stir fry is not considered fried, fried refers to frying in oil
Hang D10 , not D50
