I cried the first time I heard this song. Just beautiful song writing and performance. Can’t imagine another song to be sung at the swearing in.
Still beautiful song after 3 years
My personal favourite National Day song even today. The chorus was the best I have heard for any National Day songs (alongside Reach Out For The Skies and Will You)
Probably the next excellent NDP theme of song after our beloved "Home".. simple yet meaningful. Very Well done.
@@wilsonng8163I don't quite like 'Home' tho, I would say We Will Get There or even We Are Singapore have a better 'home' vibes tbh for me as a Singaporean
I love this song to bits. Thank you for making this amazing piece.
Thank you for this beautiful song for Singapore Linying
Love this song so much, from Cambodia 🇰🇭
What a beautiful song 🎵 😍
Shye deserves more lines!! Congrats to her though ❤
As an Indonesian, first time I know this song when I was watching Singapore Symphony Orchestra at Esplanade Concert Hall for National Day Concert on last year.
until now, I still love this song (also the lyric as well!)
As Indonesian, also love this NDP song
Great song!

Yes. Job provided to young Singaporeans.
Good job. Good job.
The new government n his team will be encouraged by the song to go ahead n not daunted with the difficult tasks n unexpected happenings emerged in the near future.
The road ahead for my family is one of peace and harmony but we miss each other most of the times. The heartaches and loneliness engulf each of us sometimes is unbearable but Jesus, the church keeps us intact and faith with one another. We look forward to our reunion. Do treasure those that like and those that you like. Happy investment in relationship and their well being and your own health. God bless.
🇸🇬😘😍🥰💕
Still love this song the most
First in 2004 This is Home Truly played for PM Lees inauguration
Then 2 decades later in 2024 The Road Ahead played at PM Wong's inauguration.
2000s NDP song is so good
@@yojiwahyudi although We Will Get There sounded like funeral ⚰️😭

The Road Ahead is $2M HDB flats!!
this song tops the 2024 one😛
I love this song by the original singers. So soothing and nice to hear.
But LinYing carries and can sing the whole song better. Her voice is suitable for this song.
I would like to hear LinYing sing the whole song.
Its LinYing's song because she wrote this song.
One of those CAMPAIGNS SONGS.
Miss Dick Lee and friend, catchy tunes and FUN too.
😂❤
😍😍🥰🥰
Who is Singaporean (I am)❤
Congratulations ❤️🇸🇬🦾😇👋
I Love you All 🙏🇱🇰🌧🌦🌸🌸
My Hero All 🌟🥇🥇🌟 💛⛵💙
Sezairi was the best
Is beautiful song but chorus and end could be rearranged to upbeat fast tempo. Better singer could be chosen to sing with gusto upbeat and hit the high key
JJ Lin too expensive
thegirl trikuunwr so
We don’t know the road ahead.
Not "WE", is you yourself 😂😂😂
But in unity, we strive together as Singaporean....

Whilst the lyric of 《The Road Ahead》 is fine, I think there is a lack of long-lasting striking rythm at the beginning, like some of the Cantonese Songs on Kung Fu. Moreover, the ending is far too soft. Maybe can learn from the Chinese Yellow River theme song.
Wrt the singers: Shye, Sezairi, Linying and Shabir, are they pro-rata enough to represent the 4 spoken languages in Singapore, i.e., English, Putonghua, Malay & Tamil ethnic groups?
