Thanks for the video. Nathan Bedford Forrest had 29 horses shot out from under him or wounded. His favorite horse was Broderick. He was so loyal to the General that he would jump a fence or untie himself to stand next to his tent. He was wounded in a charge and the General traded horses with his son and told him to take Broderick back to camp. When Broderick heard the bugle and the gunfire he broke free and was running beside the General when he took a bullet to the head. His last horse was a big grey named King Philip, he hated blue uniforms after the war and would attack policemen. He died from colic. The General cried when he found him.

Thanks for taking us along. General Edward Lloyd Thomas is buried in my hometown. He commanded the 35th Georgia Inf. in Pickett's Charge. There is a marker at Gettysburg that marks where he started the march. He was shouting from his horse trying to keep his men in line and Pickett's men thought they heard charge. So he started Pickett's Charge. I hope Americans never take up arms against each other again. The answer to our differences are in the New Testament.

First...I'm not sure Jake ever claimed to be "a cowboy." Second, he was raised in cow country in Utah and has been around horses and cows all his life. Third, he is trained as a farrier, emergency care for horses, roping, riding, horse trainer and trained all the mustangs he is riding. Every single mustang Jake owns is a rescue. I can't remember if he or his parents own cows, but if they don't, there are plenty of cows around him.
