Yorkshire lanes are amazing for most standard 4x4's. Gentle intro into the joys of green lane exploration. When I lived in the area we pretty much did every lane going before TRO's closed the vast majority of them. Even drove Stanage edge, that's how long ago that was. Now living in Devon, most of the lanes down here need a bit more serious equipment and they will scratch paintwork.
Dacia Duster are good.. Not got all the leather seats but a good family car and as standard I've done Rutland rigg and others around that area with no problems.
Good trip 👍🏼 I made the switch to a Cayenne a year or so ago from using my Discovery 4. I love it. For cheap luxury and capable 4x4, it depends how scared of big bills you are 😅 the standard off road performance of a Disco 3/4 and RRS beat the Touareg/Cayenne, but only just.
Well done for showing some respect lads. I didn't know you could still green lane these days. I'm bringing my T6 down from N. Yorks when the next service is due for you guys to breath on it. Cheers Dave (N. Yorks)
Would have to be XC70 or XC90 for me, sorry, Volvo fanboy here haha but still, these Touareg's looks how they should have always been introduced as. Keep up!
@11:20 That is roseberry topping and captain cooks monument in the distance, so that will have been teesside/Middlesbrough area the sun was shining on, which doesn't happen too often 😂 Looks like you'll have been up clay bank/lord stones area up on the moors, beautiful places with unreal views, when it's not thick with fog 😂
Jeep Grand Cherokee 06-10, from £2.5k to £5k, all the gadgets, electric every thing just a little plasticy. Merc v6 diesel makes them nice every day and come from factory fully locked with e lockers.
Nissan Xtrail T31. I took mine to KORC and it did *most* of what the big boys did even in it's standard form with road tyres. I'll be seeing you lot on the 3rd of March ;)
Mercedes ml270 w163. Paid 900 quid with 110k miles. with suspension lift, body lift and 35 inch tyres owes me £1600. Full leather, heated seats and cruise control. Cheap green laner, more capable than most realise 👍🏻
If you look on the Outdoor apps there are loads of routes that you can follow. That was Kirkbymoorside. Just sending GPS of the start wont help you navigate them all.
Prices are a bit different here arcross the pond. A decent cayenne starts with 10k in euros u fortunately. My shed of choice is a Subaru forester (SF).

Yeah a normal road car could do most of them! If you have some good routes down your way that might be a summer holiday sweetener :)
Can the council make that sign slightly bigger? I mean, they don't expect people to drive with their reading glasses on. Do they? :)
Agreed on the Touareg. Its the best second hand car I've ever owned.

Can’t beat a Parmo, good to see you lads enjoying it up North Yorkshire, I’m from elsecar but lived up North Yorkshire for a few year now.

At the very beginning at 0:40 s one can hear clearly the beautiful sound of the 3.0 v6 tdi... you're definitely good to go!
@16:42 that place is called Great Ayton, nice little place. 5mins away from where I live in Guisborough.
Went for a Land Rover Freelander 2 myself 2011 model. Not as well spec'd as the Touareg or Cayenne but plenty for a daily driver and some laning.
Parmo's....... Teesside delicacy 😂 Hope he enjoyed it!
But most importantly........ did he finish it? 😂
They are some mean feat to finish a full one 😂

Belle vidéo 👌 😉. Beau pays, beau paysage. Je viendrais bien avec mon Audi TT MK2 mais pas sur ce chemin 😂
i use my trusty workhorse Nissan navara d40 2.5dci and was on some lanes around the lakes myself in sunday 21/1/24

I'd quite like to do some of those in my (admittedly less capable) Freelander 2. Do you have a list anywhere guys?
There are various apps that can be used and online forums/websites etc
Some nice routes for me n my yeti to get aquanted on.
Looks class and not far from where i live any chance of the route please 🙏
Drop us an email to sales@darksidedevelopments.co.uk and we can send the route through to you

Great video looks ace. I wish you would share your routes. I reckon I would have a go at most of this in my 2WD T5.
Agreed. Any chance of sharing routes lads?

@@DarksideDevelopments ok thanks I’ll have a look 👍🏻
Love it👍
I wonder how good something like a golf alltrack would be at this sort of thing

Cant beat a panda 4x4 for fun off road
This video is clearly inspired by Henry Ford's words of "You can any colour as long as it's Black." 😂😂😂
Land Rover discovery
Toyota hillux surf and the older land cruisers
Landrover discovery td5 boys
Do you have a post code
Download the apps and take a look, they close often.
Skoda octavia scout
A Landcruiser prado LC5 would chew all that stone and water to wet concrete 😅
