Completely agree on these settings. Used the same since I started playing but I don’t use assist’s because it’s unnatural to not use steering adjustments for over/under steer like in real life.
@smokey wolf if you change your clutch and ebreak around youll thank me very much. Why use a finger and a thimb to change gears when you can just use your thumb? "A" at clutch and can use that same thumb at the same time to shift up or down. Also with the ebreak as your left bumper you can break and ebreak with only 1 finger. The most simple set up ever! Everyone will thank me later! Way less thinking if you dont need to use multiple fingers and thumbs for the same thing you can do with 1! Been using this for 10yrs plus in car games. Everyone ive ever had try it says its way better. But then got some who never try it and miss out on how simple it should be to play
@@Zatob i can't afford another controller right now so i'm just waiting till i can spare the money. disability doesn't go very far. over the past few months i've had to replace the front end on my car. then this month i had to replace the front tires. if nothing else, my car is in good shape now.
I personally have better throttle control with my middle finger so the stock controls are perfect for me. And I can jus rest my right thumb on the abxy buttons for brake and clutch

Everyone should be able to left foot break without changing a single setting lol. Full gas and eas on the break. Once you get good and use less throttle and more break when needed. Basic techniques you need to drift smooth
The problem with the game is the cars handle nothing like a real car does in the slightest the only similarity is how complete opposite the physics are compared to real life **I'm speaking from 10 years of grass roots drifting**
@@SmokeyWolf tysm i switched to controller from keyboard 2 days ago and can already get on my tandem buddies doors 24/7 with these settings and they can get on mine easily too! these are my fav controller settings because of how optimal they are this also helped me learn how to 360 on controller ur the goat man keep it up 🔥💯

I switched my shit to forza controls basically. The original setup is so awkward, forza serup was the only thing that made perfect sense in this game

I use X to up shift and A to down shift so I can rest my thumb between them and roll my thumb onto each button
I cant use my controller to navigate trough menu/settings like u do and have to use my keyboard half the time do u have a guide to enable or fix this

Control linearity is a factor too as this will adjust your throttle control

It depends how your hands are on the controller I keep 4 fingers on bumpers and triggers so it’s ez for me
