Calling something a "premium brand" is a "clever" marketing technique that is used to separate people from their money.
Gotta be honest here, the price on the real ghost busters figures is insane. I know its mondo but its not realistic. They better come with a ton of accessories and the best qc you've ever seen. And i really hope these prices dont reflect the motu 1:12. They do look awsome though.
The Baxter Stockman figure is insanely COOL!!! The sculpt itself is a work of art but the colors look SO GOOD on the sculpt! I can not wait to have it in my hands!
I thought 100 a piece for the GB was the multi packs! But that was the single Wow! Import prices, but they don’t look like import level sculpt or paint and they don’t have soft goods like Mezco. Will they have some quality? I am sure, but will the value match that price? I doubt it.

@@raziel4435 there are smaller figures out there that have even higher price points. Like SH Figuarts. Unfortunately this isn't Hasbro making thousands and thousands of mass market figures here... These are boutique figures from a higher end collectible company that does shorter runs. They print the numbers on the shipper boxes, sometimes they make less than 750. We're talking about 1k to 3k total units here. The manufacturing costs are much higher at that low amount. Plus they give you multiple accessories, heads, etc. It might seem like they're ripping you off, but they really aren't. I work in the vinyl record business, and the costs to manufacture are just stupid. After licensing, hiring artists, and producing the figures, there's not as much profit left as you might think.
$202 for two 6 and a half inch figures? Madness. I hoped Hasbro would make Real Ghostbusters figures in their Plasma line. Seeing these and especially Sam Hein was awesome till they revealed the silly prices. Frustrating.

Heck even hasbro could do these with less paint for $25. They are insane if they think this line won't tank at that price. If NECA had gotten the Real Ghost Busters license, these same toys would be $45 or a bit more. Even if you hate on NECA's past quality control, at least they made attainable figures for the average collector. $101 For 7-in figures is a no-go.
12" figures cost 200....it's pretty normal. I used to collect 6" stuff but always felt cheated as the characters lacked paints and accessories. Now I spend the 200, and happier with my collection now. Cost more to be happier I guess.
@@Mark_Knight Barbie dolls at 12" cost $10. Of course these Mondo figures have a lot more mass and detailed articulation and painting, but $200 for a 12" figure made of plastic and paint that is mass produced is too much.

These things are pieces of art, there's no comparison to a Barbie doll lol. Some exclusive Mondos are only done in runs of 1.5k, that's not exactly mass produced, especially compared to Barbie where I assume 99% of all releases use the same buck. Super7 charges $55 for their 7" stuff & most of it is just crap and I imagine they have much larger production runs.

Not that pixel Dan would know this, Mondo Either but, that venom Colour scheme and webbing on his arms is actually from Venom's second appearance in the 90s series, when he returned and Carnage was introduced. His original look in the show was not red and blue highlights, more pink and had no webbing on arms

Im in for Real Ghostbusters. I don't buy a lot of high-end toys so for me the price is not prohibitive. Every so often I splurge so this feels like a good place to spend that money.
