I would like to see what most people could do after not throwing a ball for 5 years. For me it would be 15 years since I last threw a ball. I think many would be surprised how fast it comes back. How to adjust and play lanes doesn't fade much. Power from timing is not as easy.
If you had practiced quite a bit prior to quitting, likely you won't be that different when you come back. Most will have slight differences in their physical ability (flexibility, strength, range of motion, balance, etc). The challenge to lane play and adjusting is usually just understanding of new equipment (Which a good pro shop will help tremendously with). Consistency comes with more practice (just like when you first started).

Thanks so much, Del! I hadn't heard of the Hum Drill before, and I have a few students who will likely benefit. Also, thanks for the shoutout to Heather! She's great!
The hum drill is HUGE. Who came up with that. Ingenious.
